In my opinion, I believe the original question poised by the TALK HOST is valid. For me I also saw the AD for Advance tickets for $15 and $20 at the gate and "no" I cannot document it for keep enough of junk in my house. But the question as to why there originally was a charge then without explaination, no charge is valid. Maybe it was simply an oversight or error on the part of the Recreation staff who placed the ad and they "quietly" made a correction.
The show was free and GREAT to see under a beautiful blue sky but if anyone can answer the basic question as to why the change, I for one, would be interested.

So far this thread was delicious. Had all of my specialties; brilliant discussion, even though the topic was...a little, minimal, big words, I LOVE big words, politics and even touched on my favorite author Freud. I am not sure who won, who ate crow or caviar, but the whole danged thing proved that we are not too old to argue, and that we all have a few brain cells left. .... I think.

I know what you mean. And I have to add that I love this whole site. I came for the information. And I stayed for the rest.

There are times when it's like having a theater seat. But when I first took my seat in this theater, I had absolutely no intention of getting up on stage. But then that dreary Ohio winter, that we both know well, set in. So you just never know what a little cabin fever can cause.

I also love it that we can help each other with such truly good and useful information, not only about TV, but about other things. I got great answers here to my questions about Social Security and about what these things called wii are all about and so many other things, too. And I try to return the favor by giving information if I think I can help someone else. But sometimes I just come out to play.

So here we all are with informative threads and threads that make us laugh and threads that make us think and threads that might :edit: us off a little and threads that bring on the nostalgia and threads that are spitting fire and threads that are freezing. But it's all OK.

The only real problem I am having with this whole thing is that I just looked up from the computer and I think Mr. Boomer and I may be headed toward living in that thing called "abject squalor" so I need to get a grip on a little spring cleaning and yard work. Then I will invite people who I can actually see to come over and visit.

This thread we are in right now was described by someone in it as a Seinfeld episode. This thread is truly a classic.

But I gotta get outa here -- for awhile.

But before I do, I have to say something else, on a serious note.

I never considered being on a board because I always thought that any board would have an underbelly that I would not want to deal with or see. The internet is the world and all that entails. But here we are, moving along nicely and even though there may be arguments, fine ones indeed, we are OK.

I have a feeling that from time to time, the administrators must have to do a little battle with the internet underbelly that we all know exists. But the underbelly does not get past the gate. And for that I am grateful.

Now, I really am going to go get something done here in my real world.
