It seems like the paver size should be proportionate to the area they enclose, so around the flowers, I say go with the smaller pavers. Up to you, though.

Why did you bother to chime in with your unhappiness. People like to see things they may be missing. I feel sorry for you that you’re this old and still miserable. To the OP. I also think the smaller ones are nice. I often ask opinions. I may end up not listeneing but I like to hear what others think and mostly their reasoning.
