I believe that's what might be called a "false equivalency".
It is rude for them to continue to allow the dog to poop in your yard now that you've made the aware you don't want them to, even if they do clean it up, but it's not close to the equivalent of pooping in your house.

Personally, I think you are over-reacting to a very small inconvenience, but it's your yard, and your right to do so.

I’ve owned pets throughout my life, and it never let them go to the bathroom and someone else’s yard.
You want hear our thoughts? Another dog poop thread will not solve anything. Do a search , there are many, many threads asking the same question as yours……………with hundreds of follow up posts. Go have a look!

Don't be sorry. It is true that there is a never-ending subject of "dog poop" threads. Seems many of the dog owners, but not all of them, will never admit to understanding that whenever they or their pup on a rope set foot in another person's yard they are trespassing. They use every and any argument they can think of to justify their rude, selfish and self-entitled behavior.
I also have a corner lot, so I understand your frustration. So many seem to believe that breaking laws, being respectful of their neighbors, or being truly responsible pet owners allows that, if they haven't been told otherwise, they can do anything they please. I have confronted a few of these folks over the years, and you wouldn't believe the self-righteous indignation and out right aggression I have faced from most of them. Sadly, the rule against posting signs in your yard prevents us from "keep off the lawn" or "no dogs" signs. That, imo, should be an allowable exception, since it might help avoid nasty confrontations that could have the potential of becoming dangerous.
It is often difficult to realize that the dog is not the problem. The problem is the self-entitled or oblivious owner.

So you’d be OK if they did it in your yard?

On the walk we keep her in the street and don’t allow her in peoples yards. If she has to go again then it is in the street or she waits until we are at a common area like an island or along a pond etc.
You sound like a responsible pet owner. Thank you!

Oh, please, you've been on this forum long enough to have read the multitude of threads on this very same topic...

Pro Tip: They all end up the same way...

If they picked it up? Sure...

The next morning, my sprinkler will have washed away any last remnants and all will be right with the world...

In fact, if I saw the dog doing it, I might just give him one of these...

Like you I’ve had dogs in the past,
and never allowed them to do their business on others property.
The dogee do free for all,
was definitely a new experience for me
upon living here.
But alas, we have to accept that
there are many entitled, rude,
inconsiderate dog owners living inTV
that give dogs a bad rap!
Disagree that you have to accept it. Whenever possible, advise the transgressor that they are invited never to visit your property again.
