This guy is a first class nut--the neighborhood refers to him as Miami Mike
It sounds more like you are the one with the problem. He has every right to be on his lawn and exercise there. Or in his drive way . If the music is too high in volume, You could ask him to lower it some. That is what people do. In the USA men do not need to have a shirt on. Actually woman do not either in most places in the country.

Well said! Most of the people I see in the villages have big bellys and haven't seen there dicky do in some time.
You people are so fast to past judgement, I bet if the OP said to that person with the loud music , to please lower it for us non exercise type, he would either wear a headset or lower the music.
We are in a retirement community NOT a waiting to Die community.
People are all different here and that is the way the world turns, STOP judging People OP.
bravo for him getting up early and trying to stay in shape; for the rest of the Villagers that don't, maybe they would feel better if they did.

Frequently, and more so as I get older, I find it sometimes difficult to tell the difference between men and women in TV. Especially from behind. My last eye exam was good so I'm thinking this phenomenon is not of my doing.

And what culture accepts someone over 55 parading around in a Speedo? Oh maybe in Miami. But we are HERE and we think it is interesting to point it out to each other. It is you Chellybean who doesn't have enough interesting in your life, that is my guess.

Carry on.

AND Chatbrat....6:30 A.M. is way too early to see and hear this kind of thing.

Seriously ? It is widely apparent that some people can voice their opinion and expect the mutual admiration society pat on the back. But, God forbid OTHERS express their opinion and this very same society is on them like a fly on sh*t. This WE you refer to is a very small minded society indeed.

Still friends ?

Peace Brother. My post was meant to be witty and disarming, using sarcasm and a light touch.

I think if you met me, you wouldn't be so combative.

Have some coffee.

If an individual wants to look foolish(IMO)then I'm okay with that as I can avert my gaze or shut my eyes.

To the unwanted music you either ignore(I would if it only happened once or twice)...confront the person(you'll likely get a manly "mind your own business")...or call the non-emergency police number and file a disturbing the peace complaint. I opt for the last choice and I do so because: a)you can't shut your ears b)the person clearly does not care what they do c)they could have easily avoided the issue with headphones, earbuds and did not.

To those who think it's his right....what about everyone else? Do they have any rights or is it only those who do things that disturb others? No one should have to put up with noisy neighbors. That is why there are noise and disturbing the peace laws. You don't like those laws then get up a petition to repeal them, but just remember when you have an emergency the the cop who responds hasn't had much sleep due to noisy neighbors...or your doctor, nurse, 1st responder....

I admire anyone that can sport around in a speedo. Such a person truly does not give a crap what others think and for that and that alone he'll get my vote in the upcoming election.

Exactly! The women seem to be getting more muscular. Must be the water aerobics classes.

Can't read thru all of this without Squirrel Man coming to mind. If you don't know Squirrel Man, you're missing out on part of your life.
