Once again, minority opinion noted.

Nice area, except there's some distance to executive courses. Nice distance to Oxford and easy to get to the squares. I've heard some people talk about train noise on the west side but I guess I haven't been far enough west to notice.

There is no rule forcing you to stay.

You can sell anytime just have to let them keep any profit. I guess you don't really want to leave that bad.

You must be correct about that. Hopping on the Turnpike at 301 and driving 75mph, heading south, we can drive for at least 5 minutes and still see construction for The Villages. That is a really long way to cover in a golf cart. I would not attempt that in our electric cart, leaving from Mallory Square.

To the OP.....please take this reply with a grain of salt. The Villages is lovely. The infrastructure of golf cart paths, tunnels and bridges is like no other community on planet earth. You will drop your jaw when you see this place in person.

Which areas are you referring to as "the north side"? Is that north of 466? North of 466A? Please be more specific. Thanks.

What is it about The Villages and others like it that you do not like? If I had to make a wager, I would bet that it is the restrictions. It is those restrictions that I LOVE about this place and others like it. Those restrictions keep our community looking absolutely stunning and impeccable.

I may be wrong about what has turned you off to The Villages. Kindly correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks.

Any Village will be a fine choice. Look into the great deals available on airbnb.com for lodging and save yourself a bundle.

not just the restrictions, although they are old and outdated, it's the people who are rude, out for themselves, talk down about everyone and are generally bitchy. i really had higher expectations for this place..

You don't have to stay here for another 6 months, you just can't make a profit on he sale of a new home until after one year. If you want to leave just list it for 6% over what you have in it and let them sell it.

Maybe looking inward to find answers is better.
