I have great respect for Asianthree who I have read for years on this Forum.

Quite frankly this Prime delivery stuff is surprising and quite amazing, but the practical in me says...HOW can they do that and not charge a lot more?

This will be fodder for some personal research. If anyone else would have posted it, I would be MORE skeptical but Asianthree has my respect and confidence.

Hmmmmmmm Interesting. We never stop learning around these parts and our best teachers are our peers.

We've used it for years, and thoroughly enjoy Prime. Not to mention the unlimited photo storage, which is part of the plan. Some items, of course, aren't any cheaper on Amazon, but in terms of convenience, it can't be beat.

I tried to look up Prime to see what it's like. I get a message that says they don't yet deliver to 32162 or 32163. Do people who say they use it live in TV?

There are a number of different Prime services on Amazon. One delivers in just an few hours or so after order... that service is not available here.

Prime Pantry is a different. Certain products are eligible for Prime Pantry... but you have to order a minimum number of items at once (not sure what the number is) and they all get delivered at the same time in a single box, or maybe a few boxes if you order a lot.

It costs Amazon less to ship because they put your entire order together in their warehouse and ship it as a single item. It sort like the way grocery stores used to operate when the did home deliver... but in the Amazon case the grocery store might be a 100 or even a 1000 miles away.

You must've looked up Prime Now. That service is not yet available here. I was referring to Amazon Prime (including Prime Pantry) which I find invaluable. Sorry for the confusion.

I'm a huge fan of Amazon Prime - I use it in Canada and also in The Villages.
I use www.smile.amazon.com in the US because Amazon makes a charitable donation
to a pet charity with each purchase I make.
Amazon has excellent prices on everything: packaged food, CDs, clothes, cosmetics, books.
Amazon is very fast, and free returns can't be beat.
I've even bought raw pet food, which is delivered frozen, packed in dry ice.

Welcome to the world of gadgets. Container farming is simple little space and no bending over. Potatoes grow under radishes. Ice cream, no brainier pour ingredients in ice cream maker, push start, half way thru add fruit if you like.

We have a calf raised, four of us split, we take hind quarter, as long as you don't go visit and look into those brown eyes it's all good grass feed beef. We get our chicken there also, they package all for freezer. Lasts us a year. I don't one stop shop I just open my front door and poof grocery is done.

Get my first order of cold, and frozen on Sunday, yes it coming on the weekend, and still free ship. As my kids say come out of the 80s no one wastes time shopping when you can be out having fun. Once you go to Amazon Prime it's hard to Go to a brick and mortar.

If Walmart is doing the click list and drive up to pick up, they will be busy, you send the order on the website, tell them what time go to the assigned spot, grocery put in your car, card swiped and off you go. Think about how ugly it gets in high season at grocery store. This will be a gift for villagers

WOW...I thought I was bad for worrying about our government, hurricanes, my health and our future....Now I must add having enough parking spaces at Way Mart.

Many thanks GG I've been off the site for almost 2 months and love the vote of confidence I get from you.

You need to look in the Amazon prime it is as my mother says life-changing. I bought them a echo, it's tied to my prime account, as she needs things she says Alexa order dove foam wash soap, and so on. No list or forget something at the store.

My parents get such a kick of of it and they don't have to drive, just open front door 7 days a week and there it is. I have an app that will tell me if item can bought elsewhere for less. Usually its pennies. You can do a month for free, easy directions, free delivery when you buy 5 of certain staples. Think no more lugging cat food, litter, paper towels, and heavy water bottles.

And the box has a cute smile on it

We will all be fine. I welcome the Walmart neighborhood market and pharmacy. Gas prices there will be less. I look forward to it being here at 466A.

Wink Walmart Marketplace

Does anyone know who to contact or how to go about getting a job at the new Walmart Marketplace? I have actually driven by numerous times, and don't see any signs. Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The Walmart web site has a section for jobs at Walmart.

It will be food pick up. You call your order in...they get it for you and you drive into those stalls to pick it up. I went buy it today and the stall said something like "food pick up".....can't remember exactly.

I have over $30.00 on my savings catcher!!!

When I lived in Melbourne, FL a Walmart neighborhood market opened across the street from a long established Publix. The prices at that Publix dropped quite a bit. However the 3 surrounding Publix stores maintained their higher prices.
