I've got to say I always give bikes plenty of room, more than the 3' rule, but would like to know why bikes have more leeway than golf carts? I'm sure it's a political thing being that in this country there are more bikes than golf carts. That said, it's just not right.

Bicycles don't pay taxes because they do not impact the roads the way motorized vehicles do. They only impact impatient drivers.

Because if he simply passed you going over the speed limit, I can't understand why it has upset you enough to write a four paragraph complaint. What do you do when someone on the interstate passes you doing 80?

Do you suppose that the level of civility in public places is better or the same in a much smaller community such as Stonecrest or Spruce Creek, where people may feel it is more likely that they will know or meet again, the people they encounter in the public and community areas?

My golf cart weighs only 550 lbs and the road is designed, I'm sure to accommodate trucks that weigh in excess of 10,000 lbs. Your bike and my golf cart is insignificance as to how they impact the roads.

I think the law is that all motorized vehicles must be registered. A bicycle does not have a motor. If bicycles on the road bug you, no amount of logic or information will change your mind. Also, I think those heavy trucks you mention pay far more to travel our roads than you would for a LSV just as an automobile pays more than for a LSV.

Oh, and a bicycles weighs less tha 10 lbs..at east a road bike does.

Thanks Betty...I couldn't have said it better myself.Why is everyone so concerned about people speeding . My cart goes pretty fast & I get all kinds of comments when I pass people. I don't pass unless I know it's safe to do so.

I don't much care what ANYBODY does unless it impacts me. If the cart driver was speeding - thats their problem if they get caught UNLESS it is reckless and endangers me and my cart. If a biker doesn't stop at a stop sign - again its their problem if they get ticketed or not. It becomes a problem ONLY if it represents a threat to me. I'm not the policeman, judge or God. I answer for my actions only. So I don't really care if someone speeds or does some other violation of TV law. I don't answer for them - they do. When I might get involved is if they endanger me. Nuf said.

Ah, one more of those who believes the speed laws are just a suggestion and does not apply to them.

Remember that when you have to appear in court for a hefty fine or when your insurance company refuses to pay a liability claim since your golf cart goes faster than 20 mph. It could happen!

It is so much easier to obey the law. Hopefully, you did not teach your kids it is okay to break laws they do not like.
