Beauty is in the eye of the owner.

The Villages delivers variety. Everything from manufactured homes to $2mil homes.

I'm not a carport guy, but there are people who like the concept. If TV guessed wrong and they don't sell, they can go back and retrofit a garage. As with every home in TV, there appears to be a buyer for everything.

We drove by the entrance last weekend, my Bride thought the village name was cute.

We parked at the new mail station and walked across the MMP and through some houses (patio villas we think) to reach the new lake with the walking path around it.

We noticed that several, but not all, of the villas had carports. We thought the area looked nice.

Agree, can't see them, how about an address of this carport house?

The map on thevillages.com does not show the street names for the villas.

If you look at the map, the homes were in the green area just across the MMP from the new postal station.

I lived on the Historic Side for four years with a carport and a storage shed at the back of the port. It worked fine.

Do some research. Although a different spelling, the name has historical significance.

If the name has "historical significance", the spelling should not have been changed. As it is spelled, it reminds me of the 1968 movie, "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang".

[QUOTE=coffeebean;1749907]OMG. I'm so glad someone else said it first. I have been thinking that ever since I first heard the name of this new village.

Reminds me.......in NJ, there was a street a few miles away from our home called, "Gay Boy Court". Hubby said we could find our dream home on that street and he would not buy it![/

And “coffeebean” reminds me of something I grind to a pulp every morning!
