Has anyone encountered bad service with All Star Golf Cart? The owner/mgr seems to be a bit arrogant regarding an ongoing problem we have been having with our new cart. Then last week when they never showed up to fix the problem we called and he said the kid who fixes the carts just went back to school and is only working part time and will be out to our house next Friday (today). No one showed up so we called today and we were told that they don't do service calls on Friday and my husband said this problem needs to be resolved. He was told he was being put on hold, but they hung up on him. So he called right back up thinking it could be an accident and was told the girl he was just speaking to had walked out of the office!! She will call him back. (yeah right) This mgr has been rude in the past when there was no reason to be so.
Dealing with this dealership has been so frustrating. Does anyone know if there is a lemon law for golf carts in Florida or an recourse for customers with repeated problems? |

I tried finding a number for the factory rep but had no luck. Is this a warranty issue?

Note my recent similarly bad experience with the Villages Golf Cart Man as posted on this forum. My Villages friends then steered me to Willy Telephone: (352) 255-1369 for repair of my golf cart and I couldn't have been happier with his service. Don't these businesses get it?

Thanks, but this is a brand new golf cart. We have had them out here several times here on a brake issue that they just can't seem to fix. They squeal so loudly and yet they haven't fixed the problem yet. The last time out here they said they would have to replace the drums.
All of this is covered under warranty but having to do it again, we wouldn't have purchased from this dealer. Poor service. |

speedometer and asked for brake lights to be repaired.my results were, new motor, tires, speedometer in place but not calibrated, and the brake lights did'nt work.this was about 1 year ago. i had a new part installed by another dealer because the cart would not mone upon depressing the gas pedal.after returning from a vacation i drove the cart but the speed of cart was very slow,i went to the "man" and the mechanic was very pleasant, but said he could fix the problem later in the day which i agreed.when i returned,i was greated by office manager(FEMALE) as she asked me why i was there,i explained my situation and she stated that "i will over-rule the mechanic would not allow him to fix the speed of my cart" she was rude and very unprofessional.please do not bring your cart there! the mechanic was very apologetic, and i felt bad for him. not exactly a good example of the villages being the world's friendly town sweetpea33 sweetpea33 |

Florida's Lemon Law applies only to registered vehicles. Unless your golf cart is "street legal" and properly registered, the Lemon Law probably does not apply. As far as continuing problems with a dealer goes, you can always contact Seniors Vs Crime for assistance. They are located in the Marion County Sheriff's Office in TV (352-753-7775) and the Sumter County Sheriff's Office in TV (352, 689-4600, Extension 4606).

I am very sorry you might think that you got poor service from AllStar Golf Cars, when in fact you where told that if the parts came in that we would first call you and then come out on a Friday ( the parts did not show up so no phone call went out to you) and that we normally don't go out on Friday but if the parts came in we would do this for you, when normally we do not take many calls for Friday only to be sure of getting all cars running and returned to the customers for the weekend. We have hundreds of these units running around The Villages with no problems but did agree to change them out completely as soon as the parts come in, I expect them by Monday and will set up a oppointment to come to your house and repair.

Let me correct you right there!!!! My husband called your store and was told by Bob that someone would be out here on Friday the 16th because no one could come out here sooner because your repair guy had gone back to school. Now where would we have gotten this information? Bob needs to learn the schedule and not pick dates out of the air to give to customers. If he made an error that is one thing, but then to find out the other day that the part never came in, that just tops the cake. Why would he ever even give us a date? He never even checked to see if the part came in, he just gave us a date.
Sorry, the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Like putting my husband on hold, only to hang up on him, and when he called right back to be told the girl he had just spoken with had walked out of the office. You can defend yourself all you want, but you are not providing good customer service. I stand by my statement if I could do it again, I wouldn't buy a cart from your store due to all the problems we are having. Also, we are still awaiting a call back. |

Wow! Looks like there have been a number of Villagers that have had a bad experience with the office manager and the folks at the Villages Golf Cart Man. I thought it was just me. Well, at least we know now who to stay away from.
