150 replies = a very active thread.
Number of page views may be the same people checking for new responses.

The bottom line is, it has been business as usual on the paths. Might be time to close the thread.

I propose the rules of the Walmart path.....

I don't think it's them not wanting us to go over there, I think its them not wanting non-villagers coming over here...that's the reason for the wall IMHO.

Default wal-mart trail confusion

I would not worry about the trail closing for the following reasons.
1) recent paved trail would indicate further long term use expected
2) I observed no trespassing sign on the left of the entrance into Wally- world ( heading North) the signs were positioned to avoid I believe anyone entering onto Duke property OFF the trail..then a couple of days later I observed that those signs were removed and a new sign metal pole on left heading south , a more permanent sign fixture stating No trespassing that looks to avoid anyone from entering the trail not just the Duke property , so I understand the confusion. as the new sign appears more prohibited. now the scoop. is as follows .. Wal-Mart owns the retention pond and the property , and the trail.. spoken to me by management whom I know..
furthermore
a person has died from entering the Duke property and was electro0cuted to death and this may be a contributor .. also note I have been on this property many many times at night and know that there is a camper that has been there for at least 6 months not continuous but the better part of six months .. amazing what you see when you walk I observed light from cell phone thru tent and investigated and there was a campers couple and that was six months ago and they have remained
so if you think that Duke was serious ..wouldn't they remove the camper tent know as tent city by Wal-Mart that is actually on Duke property, cute comments though trail will remain I am very sure

I would love to see a link to that story. How did that stay under the radar?

I would say they should count there blessings by not having anything happening on their property. You know how sue happy some people are or what some slick lawyer will try to talk someone into something, it only takes one. The Villages are kind of at fault for this too because if The Villages would of bought a right of way we would be still driving to Walmart!
