Believe it or not, a good amount of Ashley Furniture is also made in the good old USA too.
Their headquarters is in Arcadia, Wisconsin and a lot of their manufacturing/fabrication plants are located in that area.
Arcadia is about 40 miles northeast of Lacrosse, WI. and/or (depending on if your a Packer fan or a Viking fan) about 2 hours southeast of the Twin Cities.
Plus while the quality is often less than a Thomasville or a Broyhill piece, if you want something that will look good for 5 years and then you plan to replace it anyway (or have investment property to put it in), they're the way to go in my book.
We also bought a complete mahogany bedroom set a few years ago from a small retailer that is now out of business which was made in Indonesia and it is absolutely beautiful and intact some 10+ years later. Where things are made no longer matters as much as how well they're made.....think Chevy's versus Honda's!

Bought all living room and dining room from southern lifestyle, Drexel heritage made in North Carolina !!!! Kept waiting for sofa and chair, finally got it. Well it came from China !! Drexel heritage has been made in nc for 100's of years, not anymore

Our recent experience with Babettes was outstanding. I called them first and asked about a particular size sleeper sofa we wanted. I told the saleperson on the phone what floor plan that we purchased (Sunflower).
When we arrive at the store, she greeted us and brought us directly to show us the sleeper sofa inventory; they have a huge inventory. After selecting options, we shopped for bedroom furniture and chairs. She took photos along the way of items we liked.
She brought us to to a sales table, brought out a very large Sunflower floor plan, and then put tiny paper furniture pieces (to our scale) in each of the rooms.
She emailed us the photos later.
By the way her name was Sharon. She is a designer by trade and was so helpful in explaining how some items go together or do not go together. We needed that help :-)

Have been to Highpoint many times, Most of the furniture is displayed in settings. I have to believe a lot of their furniture is not made in North Carolina anymore. Highpoint is a place where furniture dealers go at least twice a year and buy for their stores. It is a showroom place and they have many furniture shows there during the year.

Does it mean the furniture is made in NC? NO

We had very good experience with Babette's Bought LazBoy two sofas for Family room, though one is configured as two theater seats eith center console. Had to wait for upholstery in our chosen color to come in. They kept us apprised of the delays. Also got a curio cabinet my wife wanted to replace our built in one in old house.

Sharon was our sales person, too, Gary. She was very helpful and listened to our wants. I would want to have her help us again should we be back at Babbette's.

Are you aware that there are several top of the line furniture manufacturers in North Carolina. Cochran is one of the best.
