Everyone is entitled to there opinion , but not ever taking any visitors to Brown wood is pretty ridiculous, you can go from burgers to blue fin , something for everyone, we all have favorite squares but most of us spend time in all of them , FYI right behind the sales office 5 minute walk from Brownwood center on cart trail is beautiful water setting on both side of trail the kids love looking for a gator or other birds , you can get there faster then there ice cream melts in the Florida sun

It’s true about moving 3 times and some like me 5, I sold furniture with homes easy to move fun to start again. Profit wasn’t the big reason but always made some and sometimes more then some

TOTV can be a very helpful and enjoyable forum, but with any social media comes the trolls, the unhappy nomatterwhats, the alwaysangrys, the see-how-clever-I-ams, etc. Not sure what is not right in their lives but if you can learn to just ignore those replies there are many others who are helpful, kind, and enjoy an open discussion.

The answer is that The Villages is a CDD. We do not take up a petition and change things. This is not like Orlando where you vote a mayor in or out. This is a large and well run development established and organized and maintained by the developer. Most of us are rather glad of that. We are glad that new folks can't vote in a little of this or a change in that not only because most of us think it is dandy the way it is, but also all the changes cost money. There are many who when it's cold for a few weeks want some indoor pools, there are those who want to take out the traffic circles and many other suggestions that would possibly make things nice, but cost all of us, because we are the people who will pay for the changes. There is a workshop offered every few weeks in ordinary times for people that explain just how things work in a CDD. It is most enlightening.

The Villages Florida

Spanish Springs has terrible seating for the entertainment, the stage actually faces away from most of the seating. Brownwood has the grandstands and the stage is at one end, I go there for the music and the shops, not to see a water feature.

Perhaps you should go back and reread your OP.....slowly. No perception it was a complaint - it was stated as a complaint which left it open for just the kind of replies the post received.
For example:

-So very disappointed
-watering trough for horses?
-will never take visitors there
-Brownwood by Wally World
-didn’t try harder because it didn’t have to
-no one working for the Villages ever knows ANYTHING.
-feeling a little cheated in this regard

Of course, no one working for the Villages ever knows ANYTHING. I just hope enough people mention it and that word somehow gets to the decision makers. Can’t we get a water feature in Brownwood Paddock square on par with Spanish Springs for example? Love the Villages but feeling a little cheated in this regard.

Perceived as a complaint because it certainly seems to be one.

I don't get that LSL lake is a water feature. Many lakes at Brownwood anyway. Never even noticed.

There is a fabulous series of videos describing the design and showing the construction of Brownwood on The Villages YouTube channel. Here's a link to one of the earliest ones:

Please’ forgive my ignorance, but what is a water feature? Are you looking for a trough to water your horses? I must be missing something...

How many troughs would one need to water a quarter horse?

Water features are not for everyone. All my mind sees are hundreds of Alligators & Snakes.
