We have lived here for over 3 years now. The noise, during the day is sometimes crazy! (Loud) powerful lawnmowers in neighborhoods and throughout public areas, powerwashing of houses, remodels, new roofs - just to name a few. Yes! Homes & throughout The Villages need maintenance but never lived in such noise.
Not being negative. I like it here. Wondering if less noisy tools could be used? Or something?
I call it "The Villages Symphony"...golf carts, power washers, mowers, gas hedge trimmers, gas air blowers..." hey, if I needed quiet I would have moved to the country.
It is what it is. If it's really bad I close the doors and the lanai and put on some tunes... part of the price to pay for living in an immaculately groomed community. Often, the noise is coming from my house because I have grass and plantings that need to be maintained.
Burn one and chill.

Does this mean, I have to tell my contractor to put a sponge on the end of his hammer, so he doesn't make any noise?
Or hire bunch of goats to cut lawn, but they will have to well train and go baaaa.

The noise that bothers me is the low pitch rumble at night from A/C units and pool pumps when packed in like sardines.even with only one ear I can here it. On good note I just roll over and instant silence.

Noise pollution comes from the miserable people whining about the sweet noise of power equipment keeping the place we live in looking so wonderful.

I resemble that remark. But when I roll over the ringing in my ear can get louder LOL

Unless you live near a major road, The Villages is one of the most quiet places you can live. No kids screaming and very few wild parties, or noisy neighbors.

Would you rather have people not maintain their homes and landscape?

Why are you so afraid of 'being negative'? Just balance it with also sometimes being positive. The noise does get crazy at times. Vent a little about it. Then have go for a long walk and everything is fine again. People are so stupid to pretend to never have negative thoughts or the need to vent them from time to time.

Nope. The OP is fine to have an opinion. I agree with the sentiment of the OP, but it is what it is. I bought near the turnpike and during the trips to visit the prospective house and area in March, the road noise was low. It is higher now, but I have to live with it. I don't have to like it. I can also post about it if I want. Others are entitled to say "Waaaahmbulance." It is all good in the village neighborhood.

Doesn't bother me. Great to see community taking care to not fall in disrepair.

Riding lawnmowers reduce the "noise" time to one tenth of what you would hear if they used push mowers. They are in and out in no time.

There is no rule about noise during the day. If you need to sleep during the day, use some ear plugs.
