I was surprised by the number of adult children living here in TV and how much trouble they seem to get into!

What should be on the front page news of a hometown paper?

The last time I checked, there was also an unsubscribe button for those who object to the content or format.
no, I never subscribed which made it easy to not go to the site anymore

To me the solution is simple. If I find I do not enjoy reading a particular publication I stop reading it.

My suggestion is that you stay with the Happy paper and don't read the other online paper. If you are unhappy with the coverage of the concerts with the happy paper then contact them and let them know. I myself would rather see the reality here so I am aware of what is going on around me. Also the advertising supports the online paper being free. So if you want to put some good advertising in there that is happy then they can eliminate some of the national advertising that they have on their site.

So far 82 posts about the other newspaper and not the first thread with this same byline over the years. Why it creates such a stir in this community is a mystery to me? My best guess is that it is a momentary distraction and perhaps a welcome one?

Your suggestion makes perfect sense.
Some residents want to change the format of the online newspaper because they feel uncomfortable with the format.
Bottom line - there is obviously an audience for the online newspaper as is, and ads can be easily ignored.
