We found a set we loved with the dining set and conversation set all matching but the price was astronomical! My husband says we are only buying these sets once so we'll pay the price but I'm in the mind set that this may be too much to spend. In your opinion, is the furniture at Home Depot, Lowes and other chain places as durable as that of a specialty store? I could furnish 2-3 rooms of my house for the price of this outdoor furniture. Seems to be too much. Durability and comfort are important.
We made the same observation. So we purchased a 5-piece Martha Stewart Living patio set from Home Depot - reasonably priced, yet stylish, very comfortable and well built.

Smile Patio or Lanai Furniture

We looked far and wide for furniture for our large lanai... Found that somehow, most furniture had tan or brownish upholstery/cushions... For Florida? No way. Finally we went to Coral' Casual/best Buy Mall. Loved the selection, including the special order choices . We paid more, but our lanai, decorated in shades of blue, looks fabulous and it is the favored meeting place for family and friends.... And the dog.

Any input would be appreciated.
Palm Casual has a store in Winter Garden I think. They had a store near us in south Orlando on Orange Blossom Trail. They have nice furniture. Not sure about the prices in comparison. They make their own PVC pool furniture and you pick out your seat colors and fabrics.

Default Palm Casual

[QUOTE=graciegirl;393643]We are having a hard time finding NICE and affordable Patio furniture. We aren't finding as many choices as usual at Lowes and Home Depot. Penneys in Ocala was disappointing and the smaller, not chain places around TV that sell it are REALLY expensive. We are hoping to get two chairs and two ottomans, a love seat and coffee table for about $1500, a little more, a little less. This year the ones we are sitting on in that range don't have comfortable cushions. They are either too hard or too squishy and you feel like there isn't much you are sitting on. I would like the cushions to shed rain too.

In the Daily Sun there is a place in Orlando advertised that is supposed to manufacture it called Palm Casual.

Worth the trip. We met the owner and his wife. Got a fair deal on what we could afford. Warranty Service is outstanding, And if you do not like your product even after free delivery they will take it back or swap out the cushions if you made a wrong decision etc.

We put a deposit down they locked in our price and will deliver when we move in.

I stopped on last min decision while driving back from Orlando. Glad I stopped.

We have purchased a few things from Palm Casual - it is worth the 45 minute drive! They are very nice to deal with - we will go back for more Lanai furniture.

Have heard good things about Palm Casual. Not that far really on turnpike they are right off the exit. My neighbor just bought a beautiful set and loves the comfort and quality. Surely the have different price ranges. Hope this helps

Hi Joyce. So we have to take 441/27 to the turnpike and then go a few exits?? Can you point me in a direction we have to go since we aren't that familiar with the area.

Hi Kathy, we take the "back way" - right on Canal Street @ 466A, to left on 301 to the turnpike (left entrance) - exit 272 - make a right - you will see the bldg on the right. It takes us about 45 minutes from our home in Sabal Chase.

You all helped us decide to buy Martha Stewart's Lily Bay Collection from Home Depot. The tables are from Bargains and Treasures and the wall leafy thing is from Penney's online. The rug is from Frontgate.

The front porch on our new house is my true love. We sat out there last night until 10:30 (!!!) with six dear neighbors feeling the breeze and shooting the breeze. It was lovely. I love it here.

We bought this same set last month and love it. It cost $899 plus tax. You do have to assemble and you will need to have a pickup truck or trailer to pick it up unless you order online and get free delivery. We rented a trailer from Uhaul as renting a truck from Home Depot in Lady Lake was a JOKE. We haven't moved to our new home yet so we are storing in the garage of our rental CYV. I bought the side tables at Lowes called Key Largo for $99. They have glass tops and are nesting style. We had these tables back in Virginia for over 2 years and they held up very nice as they were outside the whole time and not protected except for winter. Didn't like Palm Coast. The furniture was too big for my taste and too expensive. We will be buying an all weather bistro set form the Patio Place on 441 once we move to our new home. They have free delivery to The Villages. Good luck on your hunt!
