He remarked he has never seen a topic that no one is against doing except the powers that rule.
rocketman: you have to pass it to see what's in it

Sadly the question of any restrictions came up several times during AAC meetings. The answer given to the board was ther are no provisions in the sales contract preventing the use of the building as a restaurant. A building inspector advised against the purchase as did Jo Weber and Rich Lambrecht. The building probably cannot be salvaged and the price paid for the site relates to a per acre cost of $1,590,909 per acre. Check out the very informed article in the recent March POA bulletin, page 8.
Here's a link to the POA bulletin for those that don't get it. Article is on page 8.

$1.59 million per acre. Wow. Sounds like a major screwup.

Sorry to be so incensed about this but I have much compassion and respect for the elderly.
I agree. But it doesn't just happen to the elderly. When I was young (19 or 20?) I went to court to contest a speeding ticket. I was terrified to have to speak in front of so many people. When I finally got my chance to speak to the judge, he asked me why I was going X miles per hour in a Y zone. And I said, "I didn't realize I was going so fast." Well, the entire courtroom erupted in hysterical laughter and that was the end of my "case". I couldn't regain my composure to say what I really wanted to say, I was a nervous wreck.

What happened was a police car came speeding up behind me at night and stayed about a foot from my rear bumper. I thought it was some nut or a drunk so I speeded up to keep a safe distance. When I speeded up, he put on his flashing lights and gave me a ticket. To this day I never speed up when someone gets on my bumper at night.

Don't laugh: Some people just have a difficult time talking in front of a large group of people.
