I'll defend your First Amendment right to express your opinion--even though I may vehemently disagree with it. Is this a great country, or what!

I agree with you. I don’t publicize who I am voting for. We have one neighbor who displays his choice of candidate with signs all over the front of his property. I respect my neighbors so I keep my political beliefs to myself. This neighbor is no longer included into the neighborhood gatherings and we are pulling away from them also. It is stressful to be around them and have to listen to him trash the opposite side even when they are told “No politics”. No more stress for us, goodbye neighbor....their choice.

If it blocks the drivers view it should be ticketed or at least a warning that next time a ticket issued.

Doubt that anyone changes their vote due to any sign.

Lately there's a very nasty sign on a guy's cart at the corner of Morse & 466A. He parks his cart in the grass on the corner and sits there with his crew. I think he's the guy that was sitting up on Morse and 466 a while back and also got punched in a parking lot not long ago.

Fail to see why '1st amendment' even gets a mention in this thread as it ONLY restricts government controls therefore not applicable to golf cart signage. IF the town, county, state, or fed govts were to ban, that would violate the 1st amendment.

I strongly believe in the first amendment.
But, I wonder if these signs do any good in changing anyone's mind when it's time to vote.

Default Grow up and be a decent person

Signs that say eff anyone or the like say a lot more about the person with the sign that who the sign is about. It would be so nice if everyone could be a decent human being.

Their grandkids probably are pulling statues down?
Those golf carts parked on various corners are a distraction. Especially on the traffic circles. I see no reason for foul signs. And agree it is OK if your choice to show support
of the candidates. Just wish everyone would be civil and adults.

You wouldn’t put those signs on the windshield of your car why would you put them on the front of your golf cart?

I see mention of 1st amendment a few times on this thread. As I understand the 1st amendment it provides protection from the government action. If you're so crass and vulgar the 1st amendment does not protect you from "corrective actions" from private citizens.

One is a deed restriction.

The other is a legal choice.

We don't have either. We have a sign on the front window that says we belong to TOTV.

I think I know the one the OP is talking about. Is it parked in an obvious place? Glad he doesn't live near us.

Reminder...the topic is the act of putting political signs on your golf cart; A number of posts have been removed as they discuss specific political candidates and quickly derail the tone and intent of the thread. If this persists, the thread will be closed.
