Often times I wonder if some posters even realize there are deed restrictions.

Is it the signs you don't like or the name on the signs you don't like? We all know what 99% of the signs say.
My neighbor actually moved out of TV recently for the sole reason of what way TV leans. That's exactly what she told me why she was moving.

Exactly. Everyone is welcome to their own viewpoints. I have friends at both ends of political spectrum. Some people are easily offended by lots of things.

TV allows political signs in the windows of homes facing the street. Guy across the street has a large "Trump 2024" sign in his lanai window. We see flags flying that are political in nature--perfectly OK as I understand it. Bumper stickers abound; it is nothing to see a car parked in a driveway with political signage on the back. All that and more IS allowed, and seems to be increasing as the election approaches.

Maybe instead of being peeved at the signs we should be thankful that, in five days, there will be no more need for them.
I care. The election may be over in five days but the 2024 election starts in six. I dread the next two years with all the negativity and inundation of politics that's about to begin. That's not why I came to "paradise".

But, that's why it is "paradise" for us.

Sign, sign, everywhere a sign.
Blockin' out the scenery, breakin' my mind.
Vote him, don't vote them, won't you read my sign.

Your a mean one, Mr. Grinch. As well as uniformed.

Seriously, your worried about this and called The Villages? It’s temporary and a fundamental right. I think your more offended that it is not your candidate choice.

I contacted The Villages and they told me they have been inundated with complaints lately and they just can't keep up. Perhaps, the offenders realize this, and just play the waiting game that the election will be over before they catch up with me.

It just sends a bad message to the Community and causes further division. Most of us are not swayed by political signs, so why break the rules and stir the pot?
We say that all the time. We are not swayed by signs or stickers ever. So why bother?

Signs are a form of speech and are permitted per the Supreme Court of the USA. Look up Reed vs Gilbert AZ. Since TV management is a subset of the government, all deed restrictions were voided as unconstitutional by that ruling.

Default Too much time on people's hands

I have neighbors who have different political views, but they refrain from displaying their affiliation. I just don't understand political signs, golf carts decorated with signs and banners. Does anyone think seeing this is going to change anyone's mind.

Do you think I will come home and say to my wife. I believed in the person I was voting for, but I saw a parade of golf carts in the town square. They were so pretty I'm going to change my vote.

Please give me a break.
