In many cases, priority mail will be transported the same way as regular mail. So, you pay more for nothing.

Yes, I mailed a check going to Apopka, FL Feb 2, 2021, from my local postal station here in the Villages. As of today, they still have not received my payment and the check has not been cashed.

Not at all an expert. Wife said, two day delivery now says three day delivery.

You might want to check with your bank. There is a time limit on how long a check is good for. A stop payment on the check will cost you about $20.

I would also note who you spoke to at the bank. They can put a note on your account.
Someone you know not who has both your account number and your signature. You can easily close that account and open another one. Likely at little or no cost.

We are "Seasonal" here about 6 months from WI.
The mail forwarding to us is very very slow, usually 14 days or longer.
If important use other methods for sure!!!

Very slow mail system here. I guess they have a hard time hiring good employees.

Yes, all the time. I had a package that said it was delivered to the villages in Jan and did not get till March. I still have many things I bought months ago that have yet to show up.

If USPS meets their "new" extended delivery targets, they will vastly improve their current times. Two-day Priority takes 30 days. Christmas cards take 45 day. Packages sent out sit in a distribution facility for two weeks. This goes on. I wonder where all of the missing mail is sitting. Will it ever be found? Do they just burn it? The really bad thing about it is that tracking does not work properly and, above all, you have no recourse.

I mailed a letter on 8/4/20 in Lady Lake, that had to be signed for and it was lost in Albany, N.Y. for 6 weeks. It was delivered exactly 6 weeks later.

I'm surprised they didnt tell you that delivery times have doubled and tripled. Blogs are full of advice to use UPS or Fed Ex
