Helpful information for some :
Did you know?

In Latin, non sequitur means "it does not follow." The phrase was borrowed into English in the 1500s by people who made a formal study of logic. For them, it meant a conclusion that does not follow from the statements that lead to it. But we now use non sequitur for any kind of statement that seems to come out of the blue.

Did you know first responders don't qualify? They don't work for the developer.

Typical TOTV response to a valid question. The OP didn’t know about the family areas. The OP got several good answers and replied that the answers make sense. But you felt the need to reply with a condescending post.

We knew why we have charter schools, but another question is does one member of a Middleton household have to work for/in TV? Of course if one does, then the children are eligible for the schools. But what about just "any family" - can anyone buy a house in Middleton?

Why is there a high school ?
Thanks Will
There are also other family neighborhoods, built by the Villages developer, but not within the Villages, where houses can be bought by families with young children. My understanding is that the schools are built to attract employees to The Villages, to attend the school a child must have a parent that is employed by the Villages, or by a 'first tier subcontractor', or by a designated 'business partner'. In addition to the high school, there are elementary, pre-school, & middle schools.

I don't think children of Publix employees qualify. Look at page 2 of your link:

it says: other than a lease. It also says: paid directly by The Villages Company.

If you work for a company who leases from the villages, you are in category 3. Publix would be included.

Business Partners who lease directly from a Villages Company or that own a permanent
business site purchased directly from The Villages and from which they operate their
business within The Villages.

Check the Niche site. The Villages charter schools are among the worst in the nation.

The VPSD works for the VCCDD which would seem to put VPSD first responders in Category 2 of the PDF linked in the other posts.

Guess it depends where you look or what criteria is being used by the particular site. In this ranking and this ranking The Villages Charter Schools are in the top 10% nationwide.

But, but spend the most or should I say tax the most. No different public schools never get what pay for.

IMO that’s not right they are working for us in villages. O wait we only pay for it but don’t have say in rules. Yes school taxes pay for it.
