I noticed the wood frame houses have rain gutters all around and the concrete (block or poured) houses don't.
The only rain gutters I have is at the entry points and mine is block. You don't want rain rolling off the roof on your head as you enter your house.

The low country in SC doesn’t use gutters either. They say they don’t need them and they never need cleaning…. We put them on our house when we bought it up there. Gutters are needed!

On front only to keep water from staining the driveway. Otherwise no and have not had any problems.

We lived in MA for 60 years and never had gutters- just one more thing to clean and to catch snow trying to slide off the roof.
We dont have them here, except where the rain barrel collects.

My house has several valley’s and one is directly above the door of the lanai another is on the other side is the lanai. When it rained hard this last week the water was like a fire hose and The grass is trenched on the second side due to the stream of water. I will be getting gutters with valley diverters soon

Is this a Florida thing or a Villages thing? IN the northeast we have a constant battle with directing water away from the house. Rain will destroy a house built on a slab if not kept in check. whats the deal?
Building code in most states (MN where we come for sure) requires gutters by the front entryway. Most home loans require them. The rest of the house is a decision the homeowner can choose or not choose to do. We chose to put them on after we watched torrential storms dropping sheets of water directly to our foundation.

I bought a new home with just the front gutter and thought it would be fine. Then a heavy rain swept through and all the splashing on just outside my lania had dirt all over the carpet in my lania. Since I have had gutters installed the dirt in now 90% less.
