It’s 20 percent of up north taxes. No complaints

Wow, I'm surprised to find out those new roads are solely for use by "the developer", I thought anyone could use them
You can protest by not using any of those new roads

Does your tax Bill also include your “Bond” payment? How much without that?

Tax’s are cheap here. I don’t panic when I see that envelope. I know the funds are sitting in escrow ready for my bank to disperse them.

You could always sell and move to Massachusetts.

Go for it!

Taxes much lower there

Let's see, home in central NY, assessment $315,000 tax $17,000/yr
TV Florida, assessment $434,000, tax $4,200/yr
8% sales tax in NY
Travel to NYC? $22 to cross the Verrazano Narrows bridge

But upstate is beautiful, in the summer, which lasts from June 28th to July 5th

That's longer than Michigan's summer.

Amen! You must be from around Nashville. It was crazy 17 years ago!

I'm surprised you think that people who don't live in The Villages, will get their money's worth by driving around all the new roads they are paying to build.

Along with the new roads comes houses and people. Then businesses, restaurants, entertainment and most importantly, employment opportunities. Most benefit from that.

And $1.5 billion a year in new homes adding to the tax base.

That's why taxes have not gone up and are now going down.

How about the rebuild of CR 470?

How about the $billion+ increase in tax base?
How about all the new jobs?
How about more shopping and restaurant choices?
How about a new UF research/teaching hospital?

I'm surprised YOU think they WON'T get their "money's worth"
