Sounds good, but impractical. Aside from the potential of a violent confrontation, it could become a full time occupation. During high season a corner lot can see upward of 60 "visits" per day and dog walkers can be very argumentative. (Learned from personal experience)
Instead of the violated homeowner "growing a pair", dog walkers could grow a brain so they can understand that trespassing is wrong, or grow a heart so they would have some respect and compassion for their neighbors and quit violating their property.

However, I do see dog owners who are disrespectful of other’s property. Dogs don’t need to walk on extension leashes and they don’t need to be in the middle of your yard. The edge 2-3 feet is enough and makes it easy to pick up after them.

On the other hand, get over yourself. If you find a way to keep the rats, birds, rabbits, worms, roaches, etc. from pooping in your yard, please let the rest of us know.
See my post above.
As for wildlife using our lawns, that's not even related to the subject. Pets are OWNED and supposedly under control of their owners. If you can't control your pets, it is best for you to learn or give it to someone else that knows how.

Take your dog outside and walk your dog around your yard, front yard, back yard, side yard where ever you like on your property until the dog poops. After the dog is done pooping make sure you pick up the poop and then take your dog for a walk on YOUR BLOCK. Recently I noticed a owner who lives in the Village of Ashland on Haretison Ave walk his medium to large dog several houses down his block and make a turn onto Crawford Court walk several houses down and now his dog is pooping on my neighbors lawn. I mean really don't you feel bad your walking your dog and your dog is pooping on other peoples property. Why not allow your dog to poop on your next door neighbors lawn or the people that live accross the street from you. Please don't walk your dog 2 blocks away from your house and allow your dog to poop on someone elses lawn. We the Homeowners, Your Neighbors who live in The Villages pay to maintain our lawns. Watering, Cutting, fertilzing, etc. etc. just like you do. We really don't want your dog pooping on our lawns. THIS MESSAGE GOES OUT TO ALL DOG OWNERS.
Like I said earlier WAlK YOUR DOG ON YOUR PROPERTY TO DO IT'S POOPING!!!!
NOT YOUR NEIGHBORS LAWN!!! Thank You in Advance.
WOW, obviously you have an issue with dogs. In my opinion you’re blowing it completely out of proportion but that’s just my opinion. Be happy don’t worry and you’ll live longer.

Dogs need exercise, I assume like you, and they need to go for a walk beyond their house. As long as the owner picks up after them, then no harm no foul. Maybe you can buy in the Enclave where the properties are hugs and most likely not many dogs. Otherwise, you won't get your wish.

Sorry! You obviously don't get it. And, teaching your dog where and when it is OK to relieve themselves is YOUR job as a responsible dog owner, not mine.

"The edge 2-3 feet" is still out of bounds! You don't get it. Your trespassing. Period. Use the sidewalk or the street! NOT someone else's yard. Not one square inch is yours! "KEEP OFF THE GRASS."

Lastly, all the "what about the" blah blah blah deflection is bs. You get over Yourself and be a good and responsible pet owner and stay off the neighbors lawn. Don't worry about the wildlife. They are fine.

It's only grass, but it's my grass. Would you let your dog crap in someone's garage? If it ends up there because it was tracked into my house under my shoes, is there any difference? If I have to pick it up off my grass, and then put it into garbage can, and then have to smell it every time it put garbage in it, is it still just grass? Yes, but it's my grass, They have their grass, use it.

This issue is between you and the dog owner. The entire TOTV community does not need to hear about it. Go directly to the owner.

In our area the dog owners are very considerate.

Everyone can tell that either you have never owned a dog or just don’t remember that they don’t poop on command! As long as the dog owner is a responsible person and ALWAYS picks up the poop, no harm is being done to your yard at all!

1. Call the police and report a car has been left on your property. Ask to investigate if it might be stolen, and what you should do.
2. When they say it's not stolen, and advise you that your only recourse is to tow it at your expense, call a tow truck and have it removed. Cheaper than cleaning up the mess.
3. Let police know you did that, and the tow truck company used.
4. Neighbor will call police to report car missing. They will tell them it was towed away.

Everything is documented and 100% legal.

Nope. Not a reasonable request at all, for reasons having to do with the basic nature of dogs. Ain't gonna happen.

The vast majority of the people I meet while walking my dog are friendly and love to see him. They call him to them, they pet him, we have wonderful conversations, and I get to meet my neighbors.

Instead of trying to control everyone else's behavior to meet your personal unwritten standards, I suggest you focus on what YOU can do. Under Florida law, the crime of trespassing requires a posting of private property.

As one of the minority who doesn't want pets on your property, YOU can buy a small sign at any pet department and put it on your lawn. Then I'll cheerfully keep my dog off your property.

We have a neighbor whose dog regularly poops and pees in our front yard. She always picks up the poop. My dog will then pee where hers did. I am proud to say that we have one of the most beautiful front lawns in our PV area. With the amount of watering that we do, coupled with rain, and the fact that we live on sand, the yards aren’t in danger of dying from dog urine. The yellow spots that are prevalent on lawns are from pests; e.g.: grub worms.
