Outsiders can come in their cars if they want to access the stores, restaurants, and entertainment of TV. In the winter months, extra golf carts are a problem.

Does anyone think that extra cars might be a problem? Two golf carts take up the same space as one car, to say nothing of added traffic on 441/27.

If they come from Stonecrest, the only path they would drive on is the bridge. Is that what this is all about? Traveling over the bridge???????

Default More than Stonecrest

Are you?

And we have old and treasured friends who live in Stonecrest.
It seems to me that Spruce Creek South also would be traveling TV's cart trails because of the changes recently made by Florida Legislature.

However, remember with a Street Legal Cart anyone in a nearby community can get onto the cart trails anyway and they do.

This has always seem to me "much to do about nothing". However, the Developer and his attorney apparently see it differently. Now are going to have a gate to keep outsiders from traveling into TV by that particular cart path.

Frankly, I have no dog in this fight. However, our fellow Historical side residents were right to be upset by the midnight wall. At least TV residents can get out to the doctors and health facilities in their golf carts. I suppose that some good came out of this mysterious midnight wall. Maybe it's appropriate that the gate is going up on Halloween. Wallgate finally may be put to rest. RIP

My thoughts as well - I would much rather deal with additional cart traffic than additional car traffic that is absolutely out of sight during snowbird season. And what on earth are they doing to our paths, paths, paths? Does driving on something meant to be driven on create a problem. I still don't get it. Why the animosity???

I'm not much on post Beatles solo careers. I like some of it, it's just that I focus on the years '57-'70. There's enough there to learn about.
Like Raymond Jones.

the only thing stonecrest residents used was pay double to play on our golf courses and patronize our bars and restaurants. They went to the square and listened to music to which your amenity fee pays nothing and bought some drinks at the bar huts. What awful people.

probably the same person who posted they came out of the theatre in Brownwood and there were young people milling around. How dare they mill around in our squares. Get serious

I find some of these posts on this topic very hypocritical at times. If some Villagers don't want Stonecrest people to use their Bridge to cross 441 because it is more convenient than driving, why do those same Villagers feel that they have a right to use Stonecrest golf courses because the Village golf courses are sometimes too busy.

Or why do they feel they need access beyond the Gate on others property so they can shop at Walmart and several other stores.

It seems that there should be some reciprocity in all of this. What would some of these Villagers do if they now get cut off from access to the stores they want to visit. What goes around, comes around!!

Yep, and they can drive to all the shopping and dining destinations they want in their car just like most people do who are from outside the community.

I think Stonecrest has one golf course and I am not for hurting their feelings. It would just be better to have fewer golf carts during the high season. Welcome all the rest of the time. I don't care if they are driving from Stonecrest or from Mars. It wouldn't hurt and it may help.

Stonecrest has a gate that does NOT let villagers in just automatically. Do they allow our golf carts on their course? Not sure. I am not adamant on this...just thinking that a thousand or so golf carts less during high season would make things slightly better.

Drop-In Wall portions are generally one of the standardized sizes.
They are warehoused and IN Stock and immediately available.

The gate system required several RFP's to be written and then the RFQ's were written and advertised for competitive bidding.
Bids were reviewed and Vendors were vetted.
Vendors were then selected and Contracts were awarded.
Vendors had to meet the "Date Certain" requirements and have done so.

This involved.....
>>> electrical components.....
>>> underground raceway installs.....
>>> drainage.....
>>> pad and gate installs.....
>>> flatwork matching and/or machining.....
>>> ultra low-lumen night vision button cameras.....
>>> related landscape work.....
>>> and "added" security measures.

These procedures added some time to the process.
