The upgrade from our builder in Orlando was around $200.00 for a 3200sf home.
We are going with rounded in TV. It gives a more custom look to the home and like others said the edges don't chip.
We have had every wall painted in diff. colors and no problems where to stop.

It wouldn't hurt as much if you happen to bang into the edge. Something I have done a time or two.
