Make sure you have someplace with top notch internet connection. Assuming remote means on line work. Some new areas as well as old do not offer fiberoptic or quality connections. Welcome to another chapter of life.

Mrs. EDJ is a remote worker. I would share two cautions:
1. As was mentioned above, make certain you have a fast and reliable internet connection; 2. Make certain this job is "permanently" remote. I mean, what if the employer starts to call all their remote workers back into the office? What if a "mandatory" event pops up where everyone, including remote workers, are expected back at HQ or wherever? Do they pay for all travel and time spent traveling? Is there a generous per diem? Is there a limit on how many days a year they can require you to be elsewhere? Remote work was a hot China Flu trend, but does not appear to be the way of the world in the future. At least not entirely. If the employer opts to no longer offer you the remote option, what are your options? Is this just a golden parachute and you are near your exit stratagem anyhow? Other than those cautions, congratulations!! I hope you enjoy your time here and it is everything you want it to be. This is a wonderful part of the world, and if you do not have a good time, you have only yourself to blame ![]() Related topic insight: Bosses implemented return-to-office mandates hoping their workers would quit Last edited by ElDiabloJoe; 07-25-2024 at 09:20 AM. |

Well, as of this past Tuesday there are now 22 pages of homes for sale south of 44 in The Villages newspaper pullout section. This where all the new homes are being built. But, you have to ask yourself, "why are there so many homes that are still basically new up for sale so soon?" Ask that question often and get the answer. I know the answer but you'll have to find out for yourself.

This must be a very exciting time for you. TV isn't perfect, it has its warts, but we love it. I wish you much happiness in your transition. the place is so big now that there are some differences in what you'll find depending upon where you look. Take some time. Enjoy. Wherever you wind up, you'll meet a lot of enjoyable people. |

The Village of Mallory is a great place to live. There is a nice house for sale on Society Hill Circle, another one on Salley Ave and one on Mallory Hill Drive. Good luck finding your dream home.
