In the same way that you cannot fix stupid, you cannot make people use common sense. It's a no brainer and I just tend to live by what my daddy said, "if you worry about yourself, you'll have a full time job".

You are right that you can't fix "stupid". Some of the 10%'ers are not stupid but rather focus on having negative attitudes and contribute very little to the positive side of life. There is no humor of people who are ill, challenged or have or may have injuries. When you hear or read someone who exhibits that behavior the best is to not laugh since that provides some form of approval. How many have been in a group and one of the members made a terrible joke and most laughed rather than stay silent and not give approval to that bad behavior?
Lots of this exists and thus isolating the 10%'er.

My post was not addressing "10%ers" or any comments in this thread.
I'm referring to the OP. People can use common sense or not. I have no control over that and they aren't hurting me if they hang their foot out of the cart. Therefore, I choose to worry about myself instead of trying to police everybody else.
