Default Move in Move Out

As a wannbe we are looking at other areas and in talking with sales people at Citres Hills when asked about The Villages they replied " for every one that moves in three move out". This doesnt seem to add up. Is this just sour grapes? Any thoughts?

No question that is a sales pitch for Citrus Hills. Just look at the statistics and how fast TV is growing. For sure, not everyone is happy in TV, and some do sell up and move on. I'd believe "for every twenty that move in, one moves out".

It sounds like a sales pitch. I agree with TV population increasing, the statement can't be true.

This is a marketing pitch that doesn't add up! Pick any past date and corresponding population of TV and apply this rule of thumb...it just doesn't work.

NicknRo - - - next time you talk with those Citrus Hills sales folks, ask them to substantiate/document their data............then watch their reaction. They won't be able to back up their statement.

To call that a sales pitch is being far too kind. That is a slanderous lie and the salesman should be fired. I was a salesman and sales manager and trainer for 30 years and I would never belittle a competitor or allow my salesmen to. As a salesman you sell the features and benefits of your product, and if you have valid substantiated comparisons with others products you make them without judgement. We looked at places in Stonecrest and found them to be nice, but the salesman kept telling us how easy it was to get to the Villages and enjoy the squares and shopping etc. Convinced us! We would never buy in a place where the best feature is ease in getting to another place where we could also buy. Some salespeople are clueless.

TV built 2400 homes in 2011. They are way ahead of that 2012. I think the salesman got it wrong. For every 1 that moves out of TV another 10 move in!

If you wanted to win a bet, just show them the federal census records. TV 2000 population 8,000 TV 2010 population 81,000. Facts don't lie. Then you could add, current population about 88,000.

We hadn't really seriously started putting our retirement plans together last year when we decided to add a stop at TV when driving to the Keys. After returning home to Houston, we decided we would also check out the local Del Webb community. The attraction was staying close to our Medical Center. We mentioned to the sales rep that we had visited TV and wanted to compare. He acted as if he had never heard of TV. That wasn't as bad as making up statistics I guess, but I doubt it was true. We really liked their homes and the idea of keeping our medical professionals and facilities, but we've decided we want the LS more. Should be in TV by December!
