Cotillion Cafe in Wildwood. I got a key Lime cake from there for a gathering of friends and everyone there said it was the best cake they ever had.

If you are ever looking for a very detailed and beautiful, but also extremely tast cake, Kim Alonso in Wildwood is amazing. We have used her many times now from pies to cakes and even those new cake pops. Prices are reasonable too. 330-7435 I believe.

Also has a facebook called Crumbs

I second that. I've had her cakes, and they are excellent. Her bakery is in her house. You can go to her house and see the pictures and descriptions and get a price list. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Donna...879?group_id=0

I've never had Cotillion cakes, but now my mouth is watering and I may have to check them out.

I got the lemon fusion cake from Publix for my Mother's 100th birthday party. Everyone raved about it.

What exactly is crumb cake?

What characteristics does a good one have?

I want to very respectively and very politely ask about Donna's Dream Cakes. I had read excellent reviews about her cakes here on TOTV. One day we were driving and I saw a sign that I believe was for her business. I told my husband to go back so I could have a look. We went down a little dirt road and there was a lady standing in the doorway of a clapboard house with filthy windows and she was smoking just inside the house. There was a dog at her feet inside the house. Is that the place? Surely not.

This is what I THINK crumb cake is.

Dense moist yellow coffee cake with a brown crumbly, buttery, cinamony struedely type topping.

They have kinda good ones at Publix but never as good as Resch's bakery in Columbus, Ohio when I was a kid. I am pretty sure Martha Washington got hers from there too. We were in the same class in grade school.

Ok this looks like a project...wouldn't be nice if everyone baked two cakes that they are very good at, or your grandmas or moms or aunt (i have a southern jam cake to die for)...get a room at one of the rec centers...sell by the piece...and one sell whole... everyone goes home happy

Yes, that's the place. It's pretty bad inside her house.

That's why I wondered how she passes health inspections...or do they even inspect her? I can't imagine eating anything out of that kitchen!
