If the The Villages had sidewalks would it be as bad to sometimes have to clean up poop on the grass between the sidewalks and the roadway? Rather than a neighbors lawn.
This is a 'springboard' for discussion. Thank you. Marvinh

There is a set back at every lot that does not belong to the home owner so most of the dog poop is not on anyones lawn but on public property

If it makes you feel any better we had someone, and when I say someone I mean a human, use the knee wall to poop on the grassy area of the walkway corridor leading out of the powerline walkways in DeLuna. So apparently grass is the surface of choice most of the time.

Default Pooping Dogs

There is a small grassy area where I walk my leashed dogs and yes I do pick up their poop. Someone finds it necessary to place small signs there where they see poop or suspected remnants telling pet owners to pick it up. That person needs to get a life or find another hobby

Default Simple Solution

If you don't like dogs pooping and no sidewalks don't move into the community.

We've been full time for over 2 years and I don't think we've had a single case of dog poop appearing in our front yard yet. We're south of the turnpike, maybe things are different up north?

Dog dog poop… there is so much to worry about, but this is a priority to some folks.

That may be true but the homeowner is responsible for maintaining that section of grass that abuts his property and is public property. It is the homeowner's water and fertilizer that keeps that grass green and the homeowner either cuts and edges that strip himself or hires a company to cut and edge it. I can see why some homeowners, myself included, would prefer if pets do not pee and poop on that strip of grass that we do not own.

Oh my. That must have been an emergency for that person.
