Honey, just try being you.

I agree with the others. You are all over the board.

You know TV by visiting your unlaws, you don't know anything about TV, you then know everything and then you are making suggestions about changes in TV. At times you have no clue as to how to decorate and then you are a regular Martha Stewart.

Huh?
Apparently many of you do not get my humor. It was a joke about Gracie. I'm not trying to be anyone. In fact, I'm getting pretty ****ed that you all seem to be after me. I, like many on here, ask for advise on decor, eateries, directions, etc. After designing my home, touring models and looking on line at things, I've gotten a better hand on what I like, therefore I give my opinion on what I have found and like. I have been coming to TV for the past 10 years and while I don't know a lot about it, I can give my impressions from when I've been there and things I see. Sometimes suggestions from an "outsider" can be helpful as they see things a bit different than those who live there. I don't pretend to know everything or to know nothing, but I have an opinion like everyone else and I have experiences like everyone else. Isn't that what this forum is for, to let others know what you think or know??? To help others so they can make decisions? All in all I think I've helped a lot of people and they sure have helped me. I could not have built my home with the confidence I did if people on here did not give their experiences or suggestions. Can everyone please back off? Your comments are upsetting. Although I've made some very nice friends on this forum, I'm beginning to think it was a mistake signing on. I think I need to lay low so it's the last post for me.

Not so happinow.

I for one enjoyed all the info you gave regarding your new home and everything you went thru with all the decisions that needed to be made to have your dream home be a reality. As I always say, you either like me or you don't, I am not living in the TV for a popularity contest. I am living here because of the many nice people I meet and the activities I enjoy. Don't let other people mess with your mind, you do what is right in your heart...no one can take that away from you and who you are.

Happinow, I was just getting ready to post in the other thread about how rude and mean I thought people were being to you. I don’t blame you for being angry and hurt. I too got the impression that you were being ganged up on. There’s no excuse for that. I’ve never read anything in your posts that supported what was said about you. And even if there were, what difference would it make? People are free to read what they want and ignore what is not of interest to them. To worry about how many posts someone has or to somehow keep track of what they think are inconsistent statements is to me...more than a little weird. It’s childish and mean-spirited and it actually says a lot about their personality.

I don’t blame you for wanting to step away from the site for awhile.

Well said; I couldn't say it any better than Skybo has above.....
I echo his sentiments.....however, no need to quit posting.....
Our differences are often just the thing that make us unique.
If everyone had the same exact opinions....we'd all be a bunch of robots.

I have enjoyed your posts too and your enthusiasm for learning about TV. Please don't let negative posts keep you away.

Happinow it does seems some of the folks on the forum are after you, although I do not understand why. I have read some of the rude, sarcastic replies to you and its uncalled for. There is no excuse for it.

Please don't take it personally and let this upset you. There are over 80,000 people in TV and I'm sure once you get there you will find a group of people that you will bond with.

Default This forum is a good way to remember to think and post carefully.

I have felt the same as you over time Happinow. We cannot, should not try to think that we will ever get everyone to agree with us here or anywhere.

We just have to be ourselves. We do have to be mindful that our posts can hurt others. Mine have, even if I didn't mean them too.

I have left this forum wounded, several times and returned. This forum isn't everyone who lives in TV. We have strong opinions here. We do have to wear our big girl drawers.

I say...don't go.

Jojo is right. Skybo is right. You are right. I am right. But I always listen to those who disagree just a little.

And I say, be yourself. Everyone else is taken.

Forums are kind of a funny thing....I have belonged (posted) in a few. One was for RV (recreational vehicle's) and a few health forums. They can be very informative at times. However some people feel the need to be nasty when they are basically incognito. (although I realize that on totv most are who they say they are). Anyway, Quite a few folks can and do say things that they never would. They feel real important and big sitting behind there keyboard.

Happynow, don't let anyone get to you. You have done nothing wrong. Take a breath and realize that the majority of folks on this forum are really good people.

Default My post....

This post is the post that you want to sign off on? Do you want me to pull the posts to reference my statement?

My post wasn't mean... just honest! You are all over the board and your personality does change from post to post. This is no exception, as... for now... you are the helpless damsel in distress.

I think you've gotten yourself in a bit over your head by revealing so much about yourself, initiating a number of threads that are pretty much all over the map, posting opinions on a ton of things - - - You are inviting controversy.......which I don't think you can manage very well.

Just sayin....

Default sad but true

Many have been hurt on this forum, I for one, think it has to do with the written word as opposed to face to face encounters....I think seeing how someone might say something with a smile or you can get the jist of their personality when you look them in the eye. Well if you need time off do it...but come back...I too have enjoyed your journey. BTW more than once some have indicated that us Wannabe's should not post....but it is my only connection to TV until we can move down....S.

Thumbs up The comment makers will leave, too

SSmith, I hope wannabees will not quit posting. I didn't discover this forum until after having bought here. I joined just in time to call Tim the Toolman, but there's a whole lot of good information here that I missed out on.

And happinow, there are many who've left because of the inappropriate comments of others. Eventually the ones making those kind of comments tend to get tired and drop out themselves. So I hope you'll keep posting.
