We have heard about sinkholes in The Villages. I wonder about Branford?

I had to take a detour to pick up our grandson this morning. The sink hole in Palmyra, PA seems to have opened up again. Just can't seem to get away from them.

Looks like TV is becoming the Palmyra of Fla.Sinkholes everywhere.
I live in Olde Stone Way and spend 5 or 6 months a year at our villa in Lynnhaven.Send a PM so we can compare notes about TV and Palmyra.

It appears we are seeing evidence of a "sinkhole witch hunt."

Exactly. Like some are on a witch hunt to "OUT" certain homeowners and publicly try them with punishment by ruining their property's and neighborhood's reputation.

And it's good fodder for making the "Leisureville" type book of rumors and accusations more juicy to those who don't have the nerve to move.....anywhere.

Just curious. You seem to be the OP for lots of threads these days --- all about sinkholes. What is your point?

There was a small sinkhole on Merida Circle last July that did not get in the newspapers. It was approximately 6-8 deep and wide. It took them 4-6 months to get things back to normal.

I'm not sure the term "sinkholes everywhere" fairly describes The Villages.
There are other areas of Florida which are more prone to sink holes.
Some of the sink hole reports you see on this website are questions or speculation.

I agree that it's worrisome when Mother Nature trots out earthquakes, hurricanes, gators,
black bears, lightning, tornadoes, sink holes, etc.

I always assumed Original Poster. Hopefully someone will let me know if this is incorrect.
