For sure, they were the last ones in DeLuna to sell. The developer was smart though, the neighborhoods that back onto the turnpike are all the cheapest home designs in the first place (Cottage and Patio villas), so they weren't really discounting them that much in the end. Selling for $270k or something like that.

Middleton is South of 470.

Wonder how many people who moved near the turnpike would do it again.

House down the street that lanai face’s turnpike without berm or wall. Yes you can see all lanes. They are selling, to buy 5 houses down, that has room for a pool. So yes they would. We have met people who live next to 1-75, turnpikes, interstate, airports. The turnpike can be quite compared to where they moved from.

Both of our boys live in cities, they didn’t notice occasional hum from the turnpike p, when we asked them. But we are 4 streets over, and those homes have a wall, then significant distance to turnpike

I am not thrilled that Middleton families will have access to The Villages. At first we were told they would not have access and have their own amenities, which they do. Now they are being given access, so there will be a lot of teenagers with their permits or licenses driving around TV south of 44. Must be a sales incentive. That is one reason I am glad that I live north of 44. Nothing against children but I moved here because TV was advertised as a 55-year-old community with only 20% under 55. The sales person that sold us our home said it would be people whose children were grown, 40 and over. I know a couple people moving over to Middleton from TV due to the home prices being lower and you get so much more land and house.

What exactly do you mean by "access"? Are you implying that residents of Middleton will be able to use Village amenities (a false statement as far as I am aware) or that they will be able to drive on Village roadways (which anyone can do already, including North of 44)?

How tall did you expect the wall between Middleton and the Villages to be?

Of course they will have access to the Villages by car! Oregonians have access to the Villages by car if they choose to drive this far. Sales incentive? I think it is more likely Federal law.

Access to the Villages by golf cart? Can you imagine the outrage when Middleton is built out with businesses and restaurants if Villagers could not get to them?

It is not a contest.
Thank you for getting my point...

Interestingly enough, there's this thing people do when they don't like the current decor of a house...

I believe it's called "remodeling"... In fact, many have already done it to their homes...

And only a small percentage of the homes around SS are the "pre-fab" variety...

Look at the homes in the areas south and west of SS. Some beautiful homes. Some for sale that have been updated...

Grew up in Brooklyn along the flight path of JFK depending upon weather conditions. Very often planes (ever 2 minutes or so) come by and all talking must stop for a minute or so.

After that not about to buy property where noise is a factor. Other people are welcome to do as they wish.

You have been here since 2014, and don’t realize there are already families living in family villages, within TV? (Sorry had to make that clear.) you are probably so far north, I am betting you will never see Middleton youth roaming your area. They will be required to have a bright purple sticky note on their forehead. if you see them near your house there will be a 800 number to call to report them.

In “07” when we visited SS had lots of local kids roaming the town square. LSL not so much, because there were only 3 or 4 businesses open. Eyes wide open, means you are aware of surroundings

But you might get kids who live in surrounding areas. Last I looked kids don’t come with a post it notes on their forehead where they live.

Not an issue for millions of buyers

There are many people living near the Turnpike, I95, I75, I4, etc. all over Florida.

Large parts of south Florida have the Turnpike on one side and I95.
