cars go way too fast on the road and golf carts go too slow on the paths. my my whats an lsv owner to do?

Guilty until proven innocent? I don't think I want to live like that.

I have had more close calls driving in and around TV than I ever did driving in NJ. However, none of these close calls resulted from speeders. Most were from improper use of the roundabouts. If I'm driving down BV or Morse and someone passes me going 45, it really doesn't concern me and doesn't present a real safety issue from my perspective since these roads were designed to handle those kind of speeds. (However, there have been times that I have been passed by people going considerably faster than that, perhaps 55-60. These people should be nailed since, when going that fast, they can appear out of nowhere and you can inadvertently move into their lane without knowing they are there.)

If you want to improve the safety of our roads, station a cop at the roundabouts and issue tickets to those who don't follow the rules. To crack down on people going 5 MPH over the speed limit will not improve safety but will seriously degrade the quality of life here at TV. I can't imagine more than a few people who actually want to live in a police state.

Coming south on BV this morning and saw a car(one of the local A/C companies) approching me from behind at a speed greater than the 35MPH I was going. He passed me in the Palmer roundabout and I followed him to the next roundabout. His speed was well over 50MPH.
I called the company and asked for the person responsible for safety. Explained what I had observed. There were very nice and said they did not advocate breaking the law and would speak with the driver.
If I see this company again speeding.....you will know the company name.

Hawkwind it's 10 MPH on the bridge but if there's no carts heading toward me I don't mess around getting across the bridge. 3-4 months ago a van jumped over the concrete curbing and strattled the wall with his RR tire still on the side of the cart path. I would have hated to met him head on. Imagine how high the front end must have jumped to first go up and over the curb then he tried to drive it back onto Morse.

I agree with you if no one is coming towards me I have the peddle to the floor. When someone is heading my way I slow way down until we pass and I also pull over as far to the right as possible as it is a passable tight fit path. Also it only took one time to feel the strong breeze of the passing cart on the left knee to remind myself to not drive with my left knee or foot outside the cart on that section of cart path.

Probably a good rule on any car path.
