Even with the donuts, figure on an annual sprinkler head check and replacement as needed. The riding mowers used by most lawn services aren't exactly delicate. Damage is less likely if you're mowing yourself or your service uses a hand mower.

Or maybe I shouldn't generalize -- let's just say I always have 1-2 heads that need to be realigned or replaced every year.

About how much does it cost to get this done for all the sprinkler heads on a designer lot (standard lot)?

Usually $100-$200. Some charge a flat rate, some charge by the donut, usually $5.00 each. Most standard lots have between 42-47 heads.

Don the Donut Man (and Dan, his son) is the best. They do a great job and placing them flat and not crooked. I have seen many installs and they are by far the best in my opinion. His card says they charge $2.50 per donut, which includes labor and materials but something tell me he may have increased just a slight amount recently. Good luck!!!! (352) 750-9316

Default Lawn Donuts

I just had Larry Morgan come in and he did a fabulous job! He located all the donuts, cleaned out the grass in and around the sprinkler heads, and regraded. He also installed donuts where needed.

Showed up on time, provided high quality work, and was rasonably priced. All in all, a winner!

His business is (ironically) "Lawn Donuts"
