It’s sad that you think they will have to shut down the barS, and close the squares again. I truly believe that there are many intelligent people that live here, along with many essential workers that have survived and still walk among us.
They are few and far between. I predict a super spreader event and another shut down.

Default Yes we will stay home

Rather than mix with a bunch of selfish non mask wearers, who are only too happy to spread the virus. But that starts at the "top" !!!

I agree with 8quotes and GracieGirl. I won't go anywhere with large crowds. I like this forum where anyone can voice their idea or response. I have great respect for both sides. That's what freedom is all about.

A pretty controversial thread opening! I suppose that ignores the advice of medical experts that say that CV could be controlled by only 95% of the people wearing masks and socially distancing. Since we have NOT done that yet, and may never, as has other countries - this square opening means that people from different households will be NOT wearing masks and coming too close to each other. This will further spread the disease and people will return from the Squares and SPREAD it to other people, who may have been more socially conscious, in other locations such as retail shopping. It is convenient to be able to PRETEND that there is NO PROBLEM, but that is NOT the REALITY. CV happens. You can not pretend it away. Pray away and pretend away the CV, good luck. Some local and national INFlUENCE - LEADERS are pointing YOU in the "pretend CV is nothing" direction and you are BUYING it. Enjoy you ILLUSION, but be careful what you wish for, it could KILL you. I am NOT sure that dancing to the "YMCA" song is worth DYING over!

Actually, the Squares are private property open to the public. But, I’m sure the Villages does not want to alienate the locals who enjoy the fun for free. I doubt you will see Villages only, since they already dumped that idea for Katie Belle’s. I think they should seek advice from the future apartment dwellers!

I’m with you. The minute it opens for music and entertainment I will visit all 3 and dance and enjoy the night away without any fear whatsoever

How can you drink with a mask on? I would love to know the trick.

I am an expert in this audience has the correct answer..
I'm not an expert and I can only relay what I have either heard or read from the experts.........

The virus particles do not travel by themselves. The virus is carried by droplets and aerosols which are much larger than the virus. One droplet can carry thousands of virus particles in it. A cloth or disposable mask can easily block many droplets from escaping into the air from an aymptomatic or pre-symptomatic carrier of the virus. Even aeorsols can be blocked by a fabric or disposable mask.

Universal masking (meaning everyone wears a mask) can drastically slow the spread of this virus. In fact, I have read that universal masking with 80% compliance by our population can put an end to this pandemic within 2 months. And......that is without a vaccine. THAT is how effective covering the face is when in public.

I guess if one can survive living in Chitown, why should they fear the stinking virus?

Those who are nervous 😥 should just stay home and be a happier person than being so negative 👎
