Please folks remember your neighbor who may not drive & cannot get to the dump. Also the smell in the garage during the hot weather.

Once implemented, fuel surcharges never go away. Companies move on to the next disguise to generate revenue.

I am not charged for garbage or sewer when I'm gone from my northern city.

P.S. I think the garbage service here in The Villages is the best I have ever had at a reasonable cost.

Yeah, right, temporary.
Another quote for the Sept 2022 NSCUDD board meeting minutes as found on the District gov website under NSCUDD agenda.

"Board Director Friedland inquired if the gas prices go down will the fuel surcharge be adjusted. Mr. Brown advised that any additional adjustment would occur after September 30, 2023. "

If you have any questions or concerns, please attend the next NSCUDD board meeting to be held Feb. 13th at 3PM at Seabreeze Rec Center or email us directly. Our email addresses are found on the District site under NSCUDD and then Board Directors. We are elected members of a board that will always be ready to listen to our customers/residents of the Villages living in the areas we service.

Thanks,

Rick

Source of prices is US Energy Information Association
U.S. Regular All Formulations Retail Gasoline Prices (Dollars per Gallon)

Think they are a little over a year into the contract. So 2019 numbers don't fit into the equation.

Unfortunately, we can't talk about the root cause of this fuel problem.
