Default Are Supermarkets Fully Restocked Now?

Hi all, we are planning to rent for a couple of months and we're wondering if there were still hard to get items in the supermarkets or if they have recovered from the hoarding that took place a few months ago and are now fully stocked. Anything we might want to bring with us besides face masks and hand sanitizer? Thanks!

When other half comes down car is packed with essential items, as a just in case. It’s hurricane season, but during the Past hoarding, tHe stores refused to except returns, so It’s about the same as in any state

The stores are well stocked. The only item I cannot find is a tub of disinfecting wipes - like Lysol wipes or Clorox wipes. Also disinfectant spray is hard to find - like Lysol spray.

Just some info for those looking for Clorox wipes. Walmart (best one is in Leesburg because most of the "Villages hoarders" don't go there) gets them often. Target on 441 had 4 levels of 6' shelves filled with 4-packs of Clorox wipes on Monday or Tuesday. If you belong to Costco you can often order 6-pack boxes of their house brand wipes which are identical in "ingredients" to Clorox. You have to check their website a few times a week because they come and go. We ordered a box and had them in 2 days about a month ago

More empty spaces on store shelves than normal. Much better than it was say 3 months ago when so many things had limits you could purchase.

There's PLENTY of face masks and hand sanitizers, of all different types, materials, brand names, and price ranges. Bring a few anyway (since it's a good habit to get into), but the hoarding ended very shortly after it began. The initial hoarding contributed to shortages, and it took awhile for manufacturers to catch up. But the hoarding itself was short-lived, since most stores imposed limits on items after they realized people were being irresponsible and greedy.

There aren't as many brands of paper towels and toilet paper as there was previously. But there's plenty of it, and plenty of a variety of strengths/softness (or lack thereof). Keep in mind though this is hurricane season, which means people will STILL buy more than they need whenever there's a "hurricane watch" or "severe thunderstorm warning" in the area. It's just the typical nonsense though. You won't need to panic if you don't see your favorite can of soup on the shelf.

Some items run out quicker than they did, when the shipment comes in. But it's usually replenished within a day or two, or readily available at one of the many other stores nearby.

The Publix at Colony Plaza often has Windex wipes, which come in a package, not a tub.

A significant - all most crucial item has yet to be restocked. Publix brand chicken nuggets. It's not the end of the world as you can get other brands of chicken nuggets - but they aren't worth eating. I don't know who makes the Publix brand but they haven't shown on the self since April.

Or maybe they were being responsible by stocking up so they could stay home as was highly recommended. That’s a far cry from being irresponsible and greedy.

You’d think the homeowner would supply the house you’re renting with disinfectant wipes. Hope they’ve disinfected the vacation club rental house, per CDC
guidelines.
