friend of mine made an offer on one - said they had multiple offers and back-ups. Confirmed only a few released for sale. She is still waiting to hear if her offer was accepted.

I have never heard of TV taking "offers". I thought they called the shots, naming the price - take it or leave it. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Are they ever going to get all of those sold? It's taking YEARS.....literally. You'd think they'd be considering offers at this juncture.

I think you are thinking of the Lakeside Cottages and not Creekside. The Lakeside Cottages are located to the east of LSL while Creekside is to the west of LSL. I believe the Creekside units just went on the market recently while the Lakeside have been on the market for over a year.

I don't know what a Cabana is....Hawkwind. Can you describe it...or I could just go to the site, which I will. Don't say anything interesting while I am gone.

Please describe a Cabana for the other folks.

Sorry - I screwed up. My bad. It's actually the Lakeshore Cottages I was thinking of. The ones smack dab beside LSL along Lakeshore Drive. Sorry!!! I must be losin' it.............

I've stayed there twice. The first time was in a villa, the Grantham model. The second time was in a designer , the Lily model. They are all either villas or designers, and the cabana part is just a nice name for them.

Gracie

Cabanas (to me at least) are very similar to courtyard villas and they are even shown in the same listing as courtyard villas. One would have to look at the specs to see what exactly the difference is.

As an added note in my looking around this morning I see that 5 Cottage homes have been dropped from the list of new homes that can be built. Dropped are the Paradise Found, About Time, Dream Chaser, Getaway and Morning Glory.

Beeg difference. Lakeside Cottages are mega bucks, especially the ones directly on Lake Sumter. I haven't seen the prices on Creekside, but I'm thinking they're probably $300,000 to $500,000 less than Lakeside Cottages.

This is what I love to watch, their business plan. They put up a model this last spring, a Premier called the Atlanta, it was a supersized Lantana. We loved it, but couldn't move on it. It sold. They haven't built it again. I just love to ponder what makes them do this and that.

Me too, Gracie.

What makes them build Courtyard Villas with tiny garages? They tried a little trial area of ranches with fences .. what happened with that?

And yet, who can dispute that the Developers have the midas touch. I'm just amazed at their conceptual planning. What vision they had .. and what a wonderful paradise they created.

OK - let me get this sraight. A villa is now marketed as a cabana. Guess it is the same principle as the former ranch homes now being marketed as a cottage. Does Webster know this yet? Oops, guess we don't use a paperbound dictionary anymore!!!!!!

I don't think taking an offer necessarily means negotiating a lower price, just that someone has made an offer to buy the property. (When we first bought here we were told we'd better get our "offer" in if we were serious, otherwise someone else might buy the lot. There was NO negotiating, the price was the price, period.)

Bogey Boy is right as always...and when an offer is accepted, that property is removed from the listings. Sometimes it will reappear if the financing doesn't go through. It is so different than real estate sales anywhere I have been..
