Default I am sick and tired of you villagers`

talking about your beautiful weather, heated swimming pools, entertainment on the squares, golf courses, flitting about in your golf carts, having fresh seafood on the Lanai, etc. etc. etc. ad nauseum.

Here in northern Missouri we have 10 inches of beautiful white powder and everything looks like a Currier and Ives scene (Currier and Ives never stepped foot in Florida btw). I just finished an hour and a half of shoveling that beautiful white stuff with four foot drifts and I never felt more alive. At least I am sure I will feel great when the advil kicks in. As Nitsche said "that which does not kill you makes you stronger". I never felt stronger and it didn't kill me, though my doctor warned me that next time it might.

So keep your flowers, your cart paths, your recreation centers,
your "friendliest hometown" and all that. I am glad I don't have to live where snow shovels are not in the inventory of any store, and rock salt is used only to make homemade ice cream. Oh, I know, you are all jealous and want to know the name of a good local realtor, but no way will I share that information. We want to keep this paradise to ourselves. Good luck with your suntan -- creeps.

Default Watch out..

Hey ED,

Sounds soooo good!!!!

Watch out not to get trampled by the influx of ex-Villagers coming at your neighborhood.

Can your streets handle the traffic!

p.s. bet your snow plowing's not free like in T.V.

I have to agree with eweissenbach, we were getting pretty sore with all the golfing and we were afraid we might be getting too much sun at the pool. So we drove to Virginia to enjoy the 12" of snow for Christmas. I have no idea why we saw thousands of cars going the other way.

On the other hand our Realtors' name is Strong Team Realtors. Call them for a great price.

Eweissenback - you are right on. I'm over here in St. Charles, MO enjoying about an inch and a half of powder (?) thinking those poor people in TV are really missing something. Then I came to my senses and continued to pack the car for our departure for TV on Wednesday. Can't wait.
Happy New Year and stay warm.

Cool Happy for You

eweissenbach..We are really happy that you are happy. That risk of heart attacks from shoveling is not important. That higher risk than normal for accidents, (car, slipping, etc.) are just a nuisance. That you have some restrictions from exploring the countryside because of road hazzards. That you may have to read by candle light or rely on some static radio to tell you what life is like. BEEN THERE DONE THAT...

Default Let it Snow, Let it Snow---we are ready!

eweissenbach..we are also from the north but we were luckly enough to take avantage of the Bill Biilboard sign on 441 (near the post office turn off at Rte 25)that offers Guaranteed Free Snow Removal for the life of your home ownership. I know that sign is not for the Villages but we brought that to the attention of our Villages salesperson and they included it in our contract! Who says they are not flexible!!! Let it snow, let it snow..we are ready!

Champ,
That was hysterical. I laughed out loud when you were 'freezing to death' in your own living room. Six inches of snow last week made me wonder why my wife and I left TV two weeks ago and drove back to NJ.

I feel also feel cheated not to be somewhere in Missouri. I'm back in Buffalo for the holidays. Green grass, not even flake. Guess I'll have to go south.

I wholeheartedly agree!!!!

I'm so thrilled with winter weather in the Northeast that I wrecked my work truck in last weeks blizzard and white out conditions on Route 128 in Waltham, MA! The van is a total loss; the frame is bent, the front end is stove in and the engine is practically in the passenger compartment. The airbag never deployed but the seat belt held me securely in place well enough for me to feel like a rag doll flung about in a dog's mouth. Luckily I'm not too badly injured! I'll be on light duty for another week.

I can't wait for our February vacation in TV!!!
