Guess we are in charge of OUR space to make sure it is clean...Who knows what happens...

On a similar note. my husband, while working our way through college, worked in a high-class pizza joint, and to this day he will NEVER send anything back, no matter what, he knows what can go on when food is returned...sooo, even thou you find problems in the dining room, there could be bigger problems in the kitchen....Ugh!

And the dog who got every-other lick of the ice cream cone licks himself heartily.

Again, I think the dog jumping on the table at McDonalds is not so much an issue of unseen dirt and sanitation as it is an issue of common decency and MANNERS.....out of respect for other patrons and property owners. This is not socially acceptable behavior that most of us would want our kids/grandkids to mimic!!!

The lady next sat down at a table (outside) what happen next takes the cake she had a white dog which she had jump up on the table not on the seat, but on the table. The man appeared with the order and they sat there with the dog now on the seat with his head resting on the table top and eating with them. Now folks I love dog and since a child I had a dog in fact my current dog is 16 so I am not a dog hater. It takes all kind of people to made a world, but we could have a little respect for each other. Oh yes I did report it to the manager I don't think anything was done.
Sorry this happened to you. I recognize that some people don't realize that even though they're comfortable with their little pooch on the table, not all might be. A better idea might have been to put the dog on a chair or hold it in their lap. The table is far from sterile, without a doubt, but putting little poochie on it can introduce additional bacteria to the mix, including bacteria from fecal matter that might just still be on doggie's bottom or feet. While adults might not place their food directly on the tabletop, youngsters just could. Young parents might not even notice that little Suzie or Bobby is spreading his chicken nuggets all over the table, they're easier to see that way instead of being all squashed together in that little box..... It's not particularly good for the
dog either....somehow they very quickly learn bad habits...lol.

As for sharing an ice cream cone with a pooch, well, remember where his/her mouth goes. We always bought our dogs their own cone...generally a flavor we all wanted to try. We'd take a taste first, then pooch could lick away!

You know everyone should carry Clorox wipes, I always wipe down the tables at restaurants before I let the dog eat there. Helllooo, wiping it afterward would do me no good.

If you do not want to put the dog on your lap or in a chair, you can always just leave the dog on the ground.I really believe thats where they want to be anyway.

Was walking by the radio station at LSL, there is a drinking fountain on the end of one of those buildings. A lady lifted her dog up so he could drink from the fountain. I told her I wished she would not do that since my grandson's drink from that fountain................she told me to go to hell!
I'm not a dog hater but, some of these folks act pretty stupid with their dogs.

And???? I ALWAYS clean my dog after she makes a deposit. I don't need that coming in on my floors OR at MacDonalds tableside dining patio. MOTHER-OF-PEARL, please do not tell us that it is OK to have animals on tables with food AND humans. It's just wrong. What you do in your own house is different and I would ask you not to do it at my home but, hey, your house. (Bring paper plates) Yum. There TRULY is a limit.

Sometimes there are other explanations than the obvious...

Maybe the dog is older, has joint problems or just walks slow.

Maybe the people want to go into stores, you can bring the dog in with the stroller.

Maybe they miss the days when they didn't have to lug packages and just threw them in their kids stroller.

Maybe they just want to ram cranky old know-it-alls in the back of their ankles for fun.

I TRY NOT TO BE JUDGEMENTAL OF PEOPLE, you never know what kind of day they're having.
