I had someone call the other day and told me that my car warranty was up soon and if I didn't extend they were going to close my case. I asked him what kind of car I had and he said "good question" and hung up.

I did the *60, I bought a phone that blocked 250 calls and none of it helped because the rascals continue to change phone numbers. You would think that the telecom would have something to trigger their people that something is amiss when a small operation changes numbers so frequently?

Caller ID is one of those features I like about Comcast. If I don't recognize the number I don't pick up. It it is a legit or important call they will leave a message

Answer to my question came this morning. I'd contacted CenturyLink...they told me the call had to be local, NOT from a cellphone, couldn't be a long-distance or 800# to be blocked. Well there you have it!! I'd called the non-emergency Sheriff's number and the officer told me they'll generally stop after 24 to 48 hrs (though it's aggravating in the meantime). His statement proved to be true. Another answer is..."IF" you don't recognize the number don't answer and they won't continue calling back.
