Default Trees in winter time....

Hey it's Dellie with question: do the big oaks lose their leaves in the wintertime?

either winter or spring live oaks drop their leaves and make a horrible mess, but for some strange reason they never look leafless (is there such a word). Not sure how this works, but had a huge one in several yards and it was very interesting.

The Live Oaks and Laurel Oaks lose their leaves in the spring.

Yes. Although typically evergreen, the leaves persisting until the time growth resumes in spring, a live oak's defoliation may occur sooner in marginal climates or in dry or cold winters.
