This post brought to mind the iconic Teddy Bear's Picnic song
that my dad had on a 78 record and would play for all his grandkids:

If you go down in the woods today
You're sure of a big surprise
If you go down in the woods today
You'd better go in disguise!

For every bear that ever there was
Will gather there for certain
Because today's the day the
Teddy Bears have their picnic

Picnic time for Teddy Bears
The little Teddy Bears are having
A lovely time today
Watch them, catch them unawares
And see them picnic on their holiday

I live in Charlotte and we had a mom and cub last year for a few weeks. Apparently they got separated and were looking for each other. The wildlife people said they come out of the Ocala National Forest.

He said the black bears poop will have seeds in it and the brown bear poop will have an orange whistle in it.
Not sure if this is the best comment or the bears pooping all over Tom Brady

I take our fur babies out at night before we go to bed; I will be going out armed from now on.
Do you live in the woods?

Default Wild Bears

There was a bear that ran through Charlotte Village last year.
There was a wild pig caught in the dumping area between Volusia and Okeechobee this summer. And I also have seen coyotes running into that dump.
I have seen lots of bobcats and foxes here as well.

I wonder if it was Mitchell Trubisky. He might be looking for a new home.

Fortunately the guy had a loaded revolver right there with him. This happened in the mountains in NM.
So how many 9mm slugs do you think it would take to bring one down?

I'm always a bit perplexed when people say that we're in the animals territory and they were here first. Does that mean that they think that animals are equal to humans? Was it intended that people not live on earth? Wasn't every place on earth that humans exist originally occupied by animal?

If there is something wrong with us taking animals territories, where exactly are humans supposed to live.

Maybe some believe that the world would be better off without humans.

I would not try with a 9mm. A .44 magnum would be my choice at close range.

"For a bear cartridge anything equal to or more powerful than a . 41 Magnum or . 44 Magnum will be fine. ... 357 Magnum or other similar-caliber load, a well-placed shot with a good bullet will certainly kill a bear, but it's not recommended."

Handgunning Magazine - How to Hunt Black Bear - Bear Loads

Even when hit in the heart a black bear can charge over 150 yards.

"The 422-pound boar I shot through the heart with my bow in 1989 plunged 165 yards before dropping."
