Great advice.
Once the commitment is made it's over.

Cabin fever happens in both states.
Either 6 months of cold windy weather, or 6 months heat humid days.

I lived up there for 75 years, and everything you mention are things that
I miss the most.

One big reason that keeps my wife and I down in Florida is our one and only adopted son.
He is one of a kind and helps us with Dr. appointments, financial help, and is always available 24-7, especially now that my wife has colon cancer.

Our son wants to take us back to Wisconsin one more time, but until my wife
gets her strength back it looks pretty bleak.
Michael G - It's so wonderful that you have a son who is so attentive and cares for both of you so much. So sorry for your wife having to deal with cancer. You have such am amazing attitude where it concerns your wife, she is lucky to have you in her life. My wish is that you, somehow, get to bring your wife back up north to the state you both love so much. Deepest sympathies and prayers coming to both of you and your son.

It is hot everywhere this summer, not just the Villages. Our summers just last a little longer. And our winters? They last about two weeks with scarcely any freezing temperatures. My plants thrive here and so do I. No way would I move back North!

Yesterday it hit 103 at my grandson's dorm at Boise State!

Depends on where you're from. In northern Ohio winter started in December and by march the weather was breaking. I really enjoyed October, November, and December weather but could pretty much do without February.
