That is the only difference. THE only difference and it is cultural and learned and often geographic. Many people taught to be outspoken look down on some of the others as being wusses and those taught to not speak out in a public setting look down on those who do. They are the same people really and both with many good traits. It is how their mom's raised them and how they adopted the culture around them.
Surprise! I disagree. Once you are grown up then you decide what's right and wrong. What I think is distasteful is people saying that no one from such and such would ever do that. Idiots come from all over.....even Ohio.

I don't think anyone really disagrees with you. I think we're all trying to amuse each other.

Once I saw that a Kardashian was involved I didn't bother to watch.

Sad to see such behavior in our beloved Villages.
Boy, that injury looks faked to me. Why did the passenger get out of the front and open the back of the car? Why is there a split in the tape? Why did s/he drive off and leave an "injured" man alone? Where the heck is that camera? I thought they were only on the gates.

I don't know if it was edited but that car came WAY too close to be nice.

Here this is for Fred. I just read it and don't agree with every word but it offers some ideas why we act differently. As I say, I don't agree with all of it and I would substitute some words for others. Such as Brassy and in your face. ( I am pulling on your leg A LITTLE)

I need to wrap my head around this. It feels right in an odd sort of way.

Man hit by car in dispute about roundabout in The Villages | www.wftv.com

The camera is on top of a stoplight nearby. At least, that is what it looks like from this video from the news station that is a Greg Warmoth/Myrt Price report on the incident. There's another set of cameras on the gate entrance and exits.

I hope there wasn't any acting going on, it would only diminish the incident that was clearly the other driver's idiocy.
Interesting. I see a man block a car with his car, then the man gets out of his car and approaches the driver of the other car, then the man in the car tries to leave by turning to go around the man's car, and the man steps in front of him. Amazing how two people looking at the same video can see two entirely different things.

I abhor the bad driving and lack of courtesy, slow down your retired, people should learn to control their temper, being a self appoint traffic cop is just DUMB.

I expect criminal charges to be dropped and a civil case filed by both parties.

Stay in you car and control your temper

Get out of your car to confront someone, you are asking for it and you most likely will get what you are asking for..

Check the WFTV report. A lawyer could probably create reasonable doubt rather easily though as to the intent. Not sure that the driver of the white SUV deliberately hit the other man. Could be just an accident if the man who fled was inebriated, had poor eyesight, was mentally ill, etc. Then he should not have been driving in the first place.

Now he sits at a gate house blocked in and he has no excuse for his actions. Of course he was trying to drive away, he's a jerk and he's been caught. I don't think it was a very smart idea to stop and confront the white SUV driver, but at least now he's been caught. It appears to me, the driver of the white SUV came very close to squeezing the other driver between cars and probably his sideview mirror hit the pedestrian. I hope the driver of the white SUV gets everything the judge can level at him.
That's what the other driver claimed. We don't know.

All the driver had to do was tell the police he feared for his safety, and tried to drive away from the man that approached him in an aggressive manner...oh well, coulda, shoulda, woulda.
