The future of TV is the Brownwood area, ask any TV sales agent. Despite the negatives people said about Brownwood several years ago, the tables have recently changed.

Imagine why a sales agent would tell you that? Wanna buy a bridge?

Fist I must say, I am aTexan. Texas will always be in my heart but TV is my home. Nothing feels better than being away and coming down 466 and seeing Welcome to The Villages. I can not imagine living anyplace else. I love everything about our life here but I love going back to visit Texas, my birthplace and identity.

Every time I go to visit my family up north, all I want to do is come back home to The Villages. As much as I love my family and the area that I came from, this is the place I want to be.

I used to go for Christmas, but from now on it's only for weddings and funerals. And only if those involved are very close relatives.

We feel better when we are closing in on TV'S from Hollywood Fl, or New Jersey. It is not any single thing that makes us happy to be here it's the sum total of all the beautiful things that are available to be involved in. The Health Care for us is so much better here. We have Doctors who listen to us and don't process us and we are slowly becoming healthier because of their patience.

I love the older friends I've made here. I love to listen to their life experiences and their gratefulness for another day adheres to us. Our attitudes have improved since TV'S is our home now but it will take a while to lose that edge that we know we have.

Money wise in Real Estate I don't think it would be to hard to make money here.

We have owned since 2012, full time since 2014. We are frogs.

I love it here! The beauty, the friendly folks, the dear friends that are have become family. The activities and golf is also what keeps us here.

I do have one question for those who have been here awhile.....does the smile or joyous feeling ever leave you? I know we all have bad days and set backs, especially when we loose a friend or neighbor, it just seems like I am smiling most days!

When we do leave and come back through the gates, I swear the air smells different, cleaner, fresher, and I'm able to deep breathe!

Nothing will ever replace the feeling of home I get when we visit the awesome city we grew up in.
Every place else we've lived is fine, but that one is home.

Home is where the cat is and my cat is in TV. I can't stay sad or mad when I'm in the golf cart whether I'm going somewhere or no where.

I have a slightly different view. I lived on LI because I was born there and my parents lived there. I lived in NYC because I went to school there. I lived in central NY because my job was there. But I live in TV because I CHOOSE to. IMHO, a great choice!

Ditto! Like you, Schaumburger, I'm stuck up north although for different reasons, and tend to live vicariously through many on this forum. When I do get to TV once or twice a year, I can't get enough of it. Not a golfer, so that is not the draw for me, but I love the warmth and friendliness of the people, the beautiful setting, and the multitude and diversity of activities. It is truly a special place - can't wait to finally call it home!

Love your different view and can totally relate. My life pretty much parallels the same, just different places. Can't wait to finally get to my "chosen" home.

Sometimes when I am riding in the cart with Helene to go to an art activity at Laurel Manor, I think that Millionaires in the past, extremely wealthy people like the Vanderbilts, couldn't have lived much differently than all of us do who live in The Villages.

There are miles and miles and miles of perfectly beautiful landscaping, dozens of golf courses and tennis courts maintained by others, flowers changed out every eight weeks, gorgeous large structures where we can go to craft or to paint or to dance or to listen or to play cards. Entertainment every night if we want to attend, enjoyable people to meet who each have interesting life stories............

Sometimes I even think, that if there is no heaven, at least I got to live like I am in Paradise.
