One visit for me and I drank the Kool Aid and bought a house on that visit.

ValerieJo, glad you fell in love with TV. It is truly a wonderful place.

As to drinking the Kool-Aid, for some of us, it brings back some very painful memories. I lost some very dear friends in Jonestown. Most who lived in the San Francisco Bay Area did. The phrase has somehow taken on an innocuous meaning but it is a direct reference to Jonestown. Not sure how people can use it lightly nor tell others to lighten up about it.

Even though I remember the tragedy of Jonestown 35 years ago, the saying "drinking the Kool-aid" today seems to mean embracing a particular philosophy or perspective. It's pretty common to have terms morph over the years no matter how they meant to begin with.
