Yes, I like Kohls, also. Good quality, selection and prices, great sales.

You couldn't pay me to go into a retail store during a grand opening or the day after Thanksgiving.

I don't care how much money you think you "save", it's simply not worth the aggravation.

I agree with both but especially regarding Black Friday. These people I see lining up overnight for a store to open on Black Friday is just plain looney tunes. My wife is a shopper but even she will pass on the day after Thanksgiving.

My wife had $20 in Kohl's cash, so we went there first to buy something for sure, which we both did. I usually spend more on clothes than my wife. Then we stopped in Steinmark, we had been to the one in Ocala once before, so I knew what it was like. The store was packed, but I quickly knew they didn't have much for me. I buy mostly athletic wear for the gym and the golf course. Steinmark has mostly dress clothes, stuff I will never wear here in Florida. I see they'll be mostly competition for Belks and a little for Bed, Bath & Beyond. It seemed strange seeing so much winter clothing all in one place and no Florida wear, you would have a hard time finding shorts.

My wife prefers that I never go shopping with her. She doesn't understand the "chair hubbys" and would never put me in that position. She doesn't need me along for the ride and she is capable of making her own decisions so I do my best to meet her need to leave me behind.....

I know a man who always refers to his wife as "my beautiful bride". Romance is nice, but IMHO, that's overly schmaltzy!
Oh never mind, who am I to comment, it works for them.

You're right. Most women refer to their husband as "the a-hole".

Exactly. That's why we have two cars.

I often would have women along whenever I would buy a suit. The first time was with my mother. I ended up with a brown corduroy suit from a Reno, Nevada department store that the salesman had said was the height of fashion. Instead, it was the height of humor at the BYU Law School in 1982.

In 1983, my brother's wife helped me get something better for my year at the University of Denver Graduate School of Librarianship and Information Management.

In 1989, my then girlfriend Jennifer picked out a beautiful gray suit with very thin stripes which many of the law librarians at the University of Minnesota Law School Library thought that it looked like I stepped out of GQ. I miss Jennifer in situations like these.

I would go along with her on her shopping days too but as she was in her Third Year at the U of MN Law School while I was cataloging WESTLAW, she did not have a whole lot of spare time.

So, if I ask some women while shopping their opinions about what I am purchasing here in the Villages, and they give me good advice, I am quite grateful.

Might as well. It's too wet to plow.

Sweetie likes to go shopping with me, but I usually have a purpose. He will ascertain what I am looking for and bring things to me.

He is a gem.
