My age group is called " GROWN UPS". We are the people who couldn't wait to wear high heels and then decided flats were more comfortable. We also used to drink until we were sounding quite intelligent and now are just satisfied to appear dumb. We used to run for exercise and sweat and look pained and now we walk and look at the flowers and pet the dogs and smile. We served on a lot of boards and were president of a lot of organizations and now have decided to give someone else a turn. We used to like to argue and debate and now we enjoy agreeing more. We still love good times, old and new friends, sex, money and video tapes.

I LOVE being a GROWN UP!!!

GG, that sure was cool. Good response.
But as I always say, I was 67 when I arrived in TV and am now down to 37 heading younger and younger. BTW, who's taking me to the prom?????

My business partner says that once you are over 55, you are allowed to fart in the grocery store.

Default GG Right on!

Gracie, you just said exactly how I feel! We must be about the same age.
Talk Host, I think you should be at least 80 to get away with that!

Farts! Who is talking about farts again? I bet we can all guess which business partner that is. And here you are, TH. Wearing a tux and talking about farts. Geez. Why do men talk about farts AND think farts are funny? 'tis a great mystery.

I still need to look into getting that grant to study the correlation or connection or whatever between a fascination with farts and the Y chromosome that I wrote about a while back.

It is universal with men. Little boys, grown men, boy babies even, all the same. Chaucer wrote about farts in the Canterbury Tales.

Farts are funny only to the male of the species. There has to be a scientific reason for that. It needs to be studied.

Surely someone will give me a grant to fund my studies. No government money out there now I guess. Maybe I can write to Bush's Baked Beans and see if they will come through.

Hey! Remember when those television ads for Bush's Baked Beans had that nice dog in them. I bet that dog was there just so that guy could blame farts on the innocent creature.

Yeah, TH, I know.....but you started it......

And besides, I am a little sensitive right now on this issue. I bought a beautiful piece of pottery while on vacation. And then I found out that the name of the pottery studio where it was made was a euphemism for -- you guessed it ---Farts! I had never heard that particular euphemism before.

But I still like my pottery. In fact, if I can ever figure out how to post a picture on here without taking 3 and a half hours to get it done, I will post a picture of my pottery from the studio named after farts. FARTS!!! Do you believe it.

But I will post the picture in the Girl Talk thread because the girls will understand and also think that it is so strange that this lovely piece of pottery came from a studio with a name that means FART!!! Of all the galleries, in all the Outer Banks, with all the pottery, I had to walk into that one. And fall in love with a piece of pottery from a studio named after FARTS!!

And Gray Goose, I digress I know. I really just stopped by here to look at your poll. And I did click on my circle. But then.......I saw that post by TH.......and then...........

Gracie - awesome answer!

Boomer - living with IBD, ya gotta have a sense of humor about farts. Can't imagine what the name of the pottery studio was - except maybe Toots?

I plan to have a coming of age party next March when I am officially the age to be a Villager.

Boomer,

Please tell me your sense of humor is contagious! I'm still laughing so hard, it's hard to type. Thanks for brightening another day. You are right on! We need to get you a "study fund" going. I'd contribute to that one.
